Any educated gamer knows not to buy a used 360 unless you have some sort of iron clad 3 year warranty. 95% chance you'll have to get it fixed.
Not having a PS3 type investment could easily be referring to the investment of major new technologies,blu-ray and/or cell processors. Both of these are no longer new, so those initial high cost, longer term investments (take a loss in the beginning) don't apply.
An an announcement at the same time would be sweet. Imagine the spec wars that could happen. I hope it would push both of them to aim for higher specs.
I hope Carmack is right and the technological jump is that significant.
I hope Nintendo hasn't finalized the specs of their machine and are making something to be on Par with the PS4 and x720, though I'm not optimistic for it.
Every single member of Anon now at this point is now the scum of the earth, if you stay with trash like this you deserve the absolute worst in life. Uncharted 2's easiyl for me. Though UC3's is still great!

I'd be bummed if it was only graphically matching the 360.. Quite a bit better if it matches the PS3 but still I'd hope for an advancement considering it comes out lat 2012.

I agree Whitto. They really could use somebody to make better level designs. The tech is amazing that they have. KZ3 took a few steps backwards in level design.
There is so much potential.
This is the worst remake of all time. Taking the Multiplayer (The only good part of Halo 1) and completely changing it.
What fans of the original want is the the original game with the original gameplay, physics and weapon balance. In short we want the original exactly as it is but prettier and with online via Live with dediated servers.
What we don't want is Halo Reach with the maps from the original.
