I do hope they keep the PC players away from the console players though, don't want to one day look around this game and that every single planet has already been named because someone created a mod on the PC to do so...

I do wonder if what you say is even possible, the universe is generated and it's done on the servers since everyone can visit the same planets and see what others have named it and/or done to it. Unless they create their own servers to...
Still, if they keep doing that they might shoot themselves in the foot 'cos I'm planning on getting an X1 once more exclusives I like come out so it can sit next to my PS4, but if most of them come out for the PC anyways I might just put that money into a new, more capable, PC instead...
@starchild Yet for individual publishers even a single console platform can generate more revenue than the PC can, let alone if you combine all console sales...
Okay, combined figures are of course nice and all, it just means all sales from every publisher imaginable combined while this article is about one publisher.
If you look at the figures of some of the larger publishers (not just EA) you will notice though that consoles account for way more sales than the PC.
You have disagrees and I don't get it, do people really want to play part 3 without having played parts 1 and 2?
I sure as heck don't. Honestly, I had never heard of the games before, then again they were not released for a platform I owned back then...
So yes, only people really interested in this one should be people who played and loved the first 2 parts...
@EDMIX yeah I don't understand it either, both Czech and spacedelete say there are many people who hyped up the game even tho they never played the first 2 parts.
I don't believe that, I never played the first 2 parts so am totally not interested in part 3. Sure, am happy for the people who wanted it for so long but it's not doing much for me.

@Gears Many people seem sure NMS will release for the X1 as well but I wouldn't be surprised if it's not gonna happen. For the X1 gamers I hope it will and I do hope they can hook up the servers, would be awesome to randomly meet X1 players on PS4 or PC and vice versa!
They said that they would offer up 3 game titles to vote for and that the ones not chosen will for sale at a discount afterwards. This tells me that the second game we usually get with PS+ is decided completely by Sony.

Exactly, the more excellent 1st party games the more likely it is people want to buy an Xbox One. It's really easy if you think about it.
I'm a gamer, I like games, but have been with PS since the first one, but you can bet your ass I will get an Xbox One to put next to my PS4 when more and more great exclusives come out for the X1!
Honestly, I think both plays a part.
We have no idea how such deals are really made and what it consists of, maybe it's partly a bunch of cash upfront and partly a per copy of the game deal thing. Who knows exactly.
Even if it's only a bunch of money upfront, am sure the one who can sell more copies is going to provide a higher profit.
With COD that was Xbox last gen, now it might be PS4.

That said, you saying that Sony lied about improving the service is absurd. How do you know they didn't? That you have a feeling it is worse, is just that, a feeling, not proof of any kind.
Of course, they still need to spend more money on it, but saying they didn't is something you can't know.
