It's simple, MS showed more than just games for Xbox One at E3, they also showed us Win 10 stuff and almost 30 minutes of HoloLens. Great stuff too, but they were not games.
Sony on the other hand glanced over Project Morpheus and PS Vue in a few minutes and the rest of the show was games, games and more games.
If MS had shown the games at E3 they've shown now at Gamescom they wouldn't have any games (or new footage) to show now either. If Sony ha...
LOL, yes! I was thinking "where is Sammy?" and then you see a bar called "Sammy's"!!!
Why is Rise of the Tomb Raider mentioned as an Xbox One exclusive??
That is wishful thinking. You do realise people need to spend time and money to create that port right? So giving them away for free is going to be tough...
Altho have to say, I do believe MS recompiles (like a Just in Time compiler for virtual machines) the X360 (PowerPC) code to X1 (x86) code with an added bunch of on the fly conversions of the graphics API calls. Still takes time and some thorough testing but way less than actually porting it.
PS2 would be possible thru emulation as well, PSP should be a breeze too.
On a totally unrelated note they also should implement RemotePlay from the Vita to the PS4 so one can play Vita games on the TV while using the Vita as a controller without the restrictions of the PS TV...
Imagine that though, PS3 games you own free on PSNow, PS1, PS2 and PSP emulation on PS4 en Vita RemotePlay to PS4. Then the PS4 would do it all!
Ah well, now my PS2 ...
Honestly, I fully expect Sony to do something about this, they could announce soon that if you insert the PS3 disc or if you own the PS3 digital game that you can access that game for free on PSNow.
Would it cost them something to do so? Yeah it would, it will cost them bandwidth and maybe suddenly many more people will start to use PSNow. This could also be a good thing, if you're already in the PSNow app browsing about you might get tempted to rent some other titles as ...
The ID@Xbox games are not exclusives!
For one they will all come out for PC, secondly the ones shown all said "console first on xbox" (or something like that), third, most of the ones shown already announced they will release on other platforms as well, sure, maybe a little later, but they will still come...
Yeah, am sick of those "xxx needs to do these y things in order to blabla", blech.
Just bloody wait until the game is released and only then complain about stuff if there's something you don't like.
All games I like so will like this too!
But.... well ya know....
It actually looks like a lot of different games if I'm honest, that's why I said too generic. Still it's stuff I like in games so it's good, but it's not like the early Tomb Raider games...
Same here, tho I can't wait to play the Definitive version on the PS4!
Have to say tho this does look a lot more generic than I expected, it has stuff I do like in games so it will be good, but it does not give me that Tomb Raider vibe that the early games gave me... Ah well...
You do realise that 'the cloud' is nothing but a buzzword for several remote servers, right?
I do think MS made an easy to use API for using their servers for this type of thing tho which is kinda awesome!
But... it's still just a bunch of servers communicating with the consoles and others can and will be able to do something similar if they want to...
What I've heard you will be able to be on the same planet as your friend is currently on and you could meet up... if you can find each other...
I mean, the planets are huge, I heard earth sized, if you both have no maps, no place names, no continent names, etc., etc. how are you going to meet up?
2 and a half years? Are you in the future? It released only 1 year and 8 months ago...
Haha, just came from an article about No Man's Sky where people are saying similar stuff.
This game is self-published by the makers tho, something they could do for other platforms as well if they wanted to and if it's a success on PC and X1 am sure they will.
But still, it looks mighty interesting and might be one I pick up once I have an Xbox One as well!
Yeah, the only thing I need to know right about now is a darn release date!
The more I hear and see about it, the more I want it, so: RELEASE DATE! RELEASE DATE!
Looking forward to playing this on the PS4!
*ducks* :D
@Suplex
Yes, I know the wording and all that, it could be that it will release on Xbox One, but I just do not get why people can be 100% sure about stuff like this when the game hasn't been announced yet for the Xbox One.
Same thing with Tomb Raider, same wording, but as (currently) only a PS4 owner it still got me a little worried. Did I think the chances were high it would come to PS4? Yeah, sure I did, in fact I saw the chances (before the official an...
@Tom
Seems to me they make more profit from me buying their hardware, taking a subscription on their online services and buying software thru their online store which neither of those I do if I get a new PC.
Sure, the MS published games might only be available thru their store for PC as well, but I probably will be using other stores like Steam to get all the others I want. Also Win 10 is a free upgrade.
Okay, okay, sure, sure, tho in case of the X1 and PS4, PS4 does have the better hardware, as for games, well, there are plenty of great games for both but it depends on your personal tastes which you prefer...
Me personally I just want them all :)
