Yup and the heat is on even more that Sony didn’t acquire Square or Capcom. Microsoft will broaden it’s Japanese offices to begin building relationships in the country
Didn’t Forza top this as well?? It’s on Gamepass lol
Yea “okay” Phil
Well said. Sony would do well to figure out their 1st party output as well
Loved the story, but there was literally no incentive to explore and discover. Was just a linear experience in my opinion.
Looks a million times better than FFXVI!
The world is amazing though I’d like them to flesh it out and make as many as they want from the VII universe while continuing to support VII and IX and all the other fan favorites
@gold_drake you must not have played the game through.
@fsfsxii
No good sir, it would add value to their subscription. Very simple stuff here
Or acquiring a publisher with a lot of past and upcoming IP
I was mainly implying that Sony will lose negotiating power if they did wake up and want to acquire a Japanese publisher now that Microsoft will be in their pockets
Here we go, Sony’s inability to acquire a major publisher from Japan is about to backfire on them. Cheap company that never invests in acquisition except for a few small devs occasionally. And then is anti-consumer with how they handle their peripherals and locking out the use of bluetooth from their devices.
If they actually did purchase a major publisher I wouldn’t mind this move as much at all because that legacy content and IP would be huge. If they keep being cheap and greedy and don’t acquire one then this move will not go well for them.
Disappointed in them, tired of their current first party IP output they need help from a different publisher. Specifically a Japanese publisher
I’d actually support it if they actually spent money from the billions that they earn per quarter from their loyal fans and acquired a major publisher like Microsoft did where they would receive beloved legacy IP that their current studios will never match.
A square enix or capcom would soften this move a lot. They could implement Final Fantasy into PS Stars and other media.
Ouch
They could do it the same way Steamdeck did
Yea I’d even pay $400-$500 for a SteamDeck like dedicated competitor from Playstation
More action adventure titles in development or they actually going to dip their toes in an RPG? Tired of Sony’s formulaic titles
The vita required development resources going towards a device where they had limited processing power and were held back by physical vita media. It being all digital would solve that issue
Was the 69 billion dollar acquisition plus 8 billion for Zenimax not enough lol?
