No.
I'm typing this comment from SteamOS's desktop mode. I installed it last night, and some of the hardware requirements are bogus. At least if you know your way around Linux.
I only have 3GB of RAM, they say you need 4GB.
I only used a spare 120GB hard drive I had kicking around, they say you need 500GB.
I also only have a BIOS motherboard, they say you need UEFI.
I do use an Intel CPU and NVIDIA GPU, but I've seen ...
I've been fairly loyal to Sony, but I'm not getting a PS4. At least not for quite a long time. I am hoping to get a Steam Machine, however. The controller is intriguing, no more console cycle where you have to leave behind your old games (or rebuy them) or have a dozen systems hooked up to your TV, cross-platform multiplayer and purchases, and also I love Linux. I'm nervous about publisher support, but optimistic.
I know how to build a PC. Mine is out of date, tho...
Wow, this exact same job posting was reported over 3 months ago... Same ID and everything... http://www.vg247.com/2011/0...
There's no such thing as Deus Ex: Human Evolution.
Hmm, I bet you only the people in the audience who requested it on PC or 360 will receive their copies, while the PS3 users will get another broken promise. (Assuming they were given a choice, of course.)
Last time, it was the PS3 pre-orderers who got "forgotten" despite reassurances.
Here are the changes in video form: http://www.youtube.com/watc...
If you don't want to actually look at it yourself, here's the change: Section 10 - Music Content. That is all.
If you actually compare it all (as I did, v7.1 to v8.0), you'll see that there's only one thing new, and that's section 10, and it's because of the Music Unlimited service that launched today. People are getting upset for nothing - the ToS was evil long ago, this stuff isn't new.
I'd also like to say that, had you read the article, I was optimistic/hopeful about the future of Plus, and I was pretty clear about what I want from the service. The first three months were pretty much a write-off. Today we'll get a discount on day one (Alien Breed), and that's a step in the right direction.
The fact is that there have been lots and lots of great new games released in the three months since Plus has launched. How many of these new games have had Plus member discounts? Ten? No. Five? No. Two? How many?
If you listen to Sony, they said that with Plus, they are targeting the people who DO spend a lot on the PSN. That just hasn't happened.
Trroy, that's the ENTIRE POINT of the article.
JoeReno, please tell me what a better headline would have been. I debated several, and settled on this one, though I wasn't entirely happy with it.
And for the record, it's the first and only piece I wrote about Plus. Just because one person writes an article about Plus, does that mean that nobody else should? Kotaku can't do it because IGN did it? 1UP can't do it because Giant Bomb did it? And so on down the line?
If we only ever needed one o...
if you like flOw, you'll love Flower... we're giving away two copies later today (same site as this story), just in time for Valentine's Day. :)
lol
This makes up for the DLC stuff (at least for me, personally. Copy protection is bullshit).
Two years in a row, Sony screws up their E3 conference footage. Last year, Part 2 or Part 3, I forget, was zoomed in really close, I think it was cutting off people's heads and stuff. That, at least, was accidental (I think). This, clearly, was not.
If StalkingSilence is fired, maybe he could go to a different site to generate hits and ad revenue?
Guess I gotta buy a Harmony remote, now.
The demo will be out next week, so you'll at least get to try it a week earlier than if you had to wait for the full game. :)
Nick Suttner is on my PSN list, and he's been playing it for like a week now... He used to work for EGM, but now he works for Sony.
I am typing this from SteamOS's desktop. I installed it last night and only have 3GB of RAM and a 120GB spare hard drive I had kicking around, and a BIOS motherboard (no UEFI). Some AMD guys also have it up and running.
