"I think it's interesting that the PS4 recognises the PS3 disc, but just refuses to read it."
How is this interesting or even unknown information? The $10 dollar upgrade program requires you to hold onto the disc, so obviously the PS4 can read PS3 discs to a point of knowing what they are. They're not going to let you get a $10 dollar copy of something, which will work with an AOL internet disc.
Senki wasn't that bad.
Family game indeed!
Awesome! This will make getting 6000 awesomeness a little less annoying.
Huge fan of Klei. I hope this does well.
No, this generation was just more mainstream and cheaper than before.
We had a lot of promotions for free games, countless contests, every so many sales (Super Mario 3D World is already $50 at Kmart), lower MSRP (there weren't $10 dollar digital games during the PS2 days or before that), digital sales (some games hit the sub .99 range), updated versions (this made the old versions worthless), PlayStation Plus, Games with gold, Steam, Humble Bundles...
I feel bad for Ryse. It looks so good, but they really need to work on the gameplay!
Well, short answer yes, long answer no.
Companies see the used game market and think, thats a lot of sales we're missing out on. However, a lot of this money gets recycled from the people that spend money and companies ultimately get paid.
For instance, I sold my Xbox 360 (not because of the Xbox 1, just because I never play it) for $140 dollars. I then took that money and bought Super Mario 3D World. Now, I had always intended to buy the game if I had ...
"I agree. The Nintendo Wii U is a great little machine but claiming "the smart choice for Xmas is Wii U" is a joke. "
Out of the three, the Wii U makes the most sense in the short term. Right now, you're comparing* Dead Rising 3 / Ryse / Killer Instinct vs Killzone / Knack / Resogun vs Super Mario 3D World / The Wonderful 101 / Pikmin 3 / New Super Mario Bros. U / Luigi U / Monster Hunter 3. Out of the three systems, we have Titanfall to look for XB1 s...
Yup.
I haven't either, though Knack is a special case. It was only made because there weren't any family friendly games on the PS4, so Sony made one. They only wanted it to hit 70 on metacritic... I mean, this isn't a title they were looking to spend any additional money on. However, you're right. As I mentioned before, Sony does interesting commercials, though many of these commercials fail to get the point across.
The Wii sold the most last...
Another great score for this amazing game! Definately the best thing out at the moment for the Wii U.
M$ sucks in terms of PR, not marketing.
Ever since we first heard about it being an "always online" system, we've seen M$ dodge the question and leave it hanging. This happened for far too long and by the time they got around to addressing it, things were already too far-gone.
Had M$ simply mentioned the always online stuff and clarified everything from the start, I think the reaction would have been more positive, though still largely negativ...
I agree with design. I like the Wii U design a lot more than the PS4, since the Wii U can slide under my TV. Obviously every set up is going to be different, but I don't think the Wii U is bad in any way.
I don't see how Nintendo can learn from Sony in terms of Marketing, since Sony has done a lot of bad TV spots. Like, take the God of War A and PS All-Stars Battle Royale commercials. You can watch either of those commercials and have little to no idea that you'r...
Is "feeling" next generation going to be the new HD graphics?
It probably has to do with the popularity of the system and the popularity of the series. Persona went from a small, semi popular spin off of SMT, to a series that rivals / surpasses the series it spun off of.
You look at Persona and you see animes, movies, a fighting game spin off, so it's only natural they would give the better selling system better games. There is also Atlus getting close to Nintendo again, since we had SMT 5 on the 3DS, plus FE X SMT coming up for th...
Certainly not a game I am surprised scored low.
It was a big feature for the PSP, though it was more of an afterthought for the PSV.
At least the legacy edition was a good deal regardless.

There will always be sites that have agendas and plans, but that isn't all of them.
Come the end of the day... it isn't how much you spent, it's how well the resources were used.
