To be fair I haven't tried it since Windows was updated with HDR, last game I tried was Mass Effect Andromeda and I thought it looked terrible, a ton of banding and it didn't have the HDR brightness either, couldn't get it working no matter what Nvidia settings I used, I think I'll have to give it another shot though!
I'm hopeful for this one, Black Flag launched in a really good state (except for the performance killing PhysX effects) and this is by the same team, they've had an extra year, it's launching at the same time as consoles which I think is a first for AC on PC? Could be wrong but they're usually delayed by a couple weeks to a month if memory serves me right. They've taken some care for the PC settings too along with an in-game benchmark.
We'll see thou...
Lol I'm willing to guess that it won't at least at launch, HDR on PC never seems to work well, at least for me, would look lovely with HDR though but I'd take 60fps over it, just hoping it runs well enough for 4k 60fps on a 1080Ti!
dem over halls
But yeah I agree, too much footage out there that I'm having to avoid, not a long wait now though thankfully.
Yep! I'm not sure why but the grind in this isn't as addictive to me as it was in the first game, can't put my finger on it, there's more stuff to do and it's more polished but it's just not bringing me back for more like the first did.
The one and only step: Grind
Undead Nightmare II would be so brilliant.
Undead Nightmare is probably my favourite, some others I thought were great from the top of my head:
Fallout 3: Point Lookout
The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine
The Last of Us: Left Behind
Dishonored: The Knife of Dunwall
Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea
Borderlands: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned
Dying Light: The Following
GTA IV: The Lost And Damned
Yeeeeeeeeah I went back on to check that out, looks fantastic, makes the island so eerie.
I just want them to make another Mad Max.
A pointless comment without knowing what specs the PC had, what settings the game was on, what resolution etc
I've stopped playing this as I'm just waiting for the final version now, can't wait for it! The new desert map and the vaulting system is really going to add an extra layer of quality to it.
I am for sure, been waiting for an Egyptian AC for a long time and it doesn't hurt that it looks AC: Wild Hunt.
I was going to hold out for the PC version, especially after playing the PC beta but the end of October already has Wolfenstein and AC Origins for me so I'm getting it for PS4 first, playing through as Warlock as I did in the original and then I'll take my time on PC and play through as Hunter.
It's far from a walking sim.
I don't even...
Lol yeah that's what I'm edging towards as well, maybe dabble on Origins for a bit and then hammer through Wolfenstein.
Game is so much smoother and less laggy for me, when this is finally released it's going to be rock solid, something I never thought I'd say about an early access game.
Big AC fan and really looking forward to this but releasing on the same day as Wolfenstein II is going to kill me, which one do you play first?!
Can't actually play it in 4K since there's black lines and tearing all over the place, just playing Assassin's Creed Origins until it's fixed, from what I did play at a lower res it was fantastic though!
