Yeah I'm disappointed about that as well, really liked it in DS2.
I adore the first two games, especially the second one but this game is way on the back burner, too many games coming out.
And I'm finding this one even better than that, really really good game.
Yeah it really improved the framerate for me, pretty much a solid 60fps for me now.
Just turn volumetric clouds down to high or lower, that's a performance killer.
The ship sailing is impressive, the lovely amount of exploration, the combat is really good fun and is more fun than in Origins for me, dialogue trees which actually fit the game perfectly, choices and consequences, recruiting men for your ship is a nice mechanic, the ship customisation, the amount of armor and weapons you can pick up.
It's a massive game and I don't think I've scratched the surface of it yet, it's surprisingly really impressed me overall.
As much as I loved Origins I was still skeptical about this, but with Black Flag being my favourite I was still hopeful.
And I'm loving it, I'm only a few hours in but I'm enjoying this even more than Origins, it's certainly more fun overall, don't think I'll ever get bored of Sparta kicking people off cliffs.
I thought she pout in a decent performance in the first two games but I'm 30% through Shadow and most of the time, she sounds bored and uninterested like she just wants to get it over with.
Her American accent keeps slipping through in this one as well.
Don't doubt it.
You don't see as much of a gain at lower resolutions like 1080/1440p as they're more CPU bound rather than GPU so the gain won't be as high, doesn't mean the newer card won't wipe the floor with the old generation though.
Absolutely, they need to nail D3 from day one.
Came back to D2 after Forsaken was announced which is looking fantastic, played through the first two expansions which I thought were alright, wouldn't have been too happy if I didn't get the season pass on sale though.
Overall though I've been enjoying the game a hell of a lot more now than I did when it launched, the experience should be far superior when Forsaken launches tomorrow too.
...But why?
If there wasn't any improvement after 8 years I'd be surprised...
28.1 GB.
Just finished this myself, really liked the main game but I thought Hours of Darkness was meh and this was terrible.
Same system as what I've got, I never got around to playing Forge though
Niiiiiiice.
The engine needs a total overhaul, on PC as well, every patch just seems to make the game more buggy and the FPS worse lol.
Working fine over here, kicking everyone off!
