..."Bye Bye PSP". Hahaha
http://n4g.com/psp/News-431...
I turned it on and use it. Only for trophies and game content (when available). I tried out the Store functionality and really had no desire to share that info. All in all, I like it.
Yeah, that's why I DVR everything and skip the commercials.
Becoming?
And seeing how every news outlet that got a chance to play GT5 in 3D had nothing but praise, yeah, I'm sold.
"Q2 FY2010 release non-game software development kit"
Netflix app, Chrome web browser, expanded FB integration.
"In its infancy, PlayStation Network began as a free service to gamers offering an online commerce option for games and game content. Today, it offers an unrivaled social networking experience in PlayStation Home, a robust video delivery service for purchasing and renting SD and HD content from every major studio, social networking applications like Facebook, instant streaming content from Netflix, and a rich selection of more than 450 games for PS3 and PSP…oh, and yes, it’s still free.&...
Sony touts PSN as being free. They did in the 3yr anniversary blog post, they will next year. With them already proving they can provide free online while also providing revenue based services (Qore, Home microtransactions, PSP comic store), this is more than likely another service akin to those.
The relationship Sony has with Google appears too strong for them to be in talks with Mozilla. Sony was the first laptop manufacturer to include Chrome pre-installed on it's latest Vaio line. Life with PlayStation is "powered by Google". They integrated Internet search in the XMB which is also "powered by Google"...I see Chrome actually happening.
Also...Google Voice (I have an account) would be EPIC on PS3. Use it for cross game chat with users on PSN and out...
* I game
* I listen to music
* I shop
* I stream Netflix
* I watch Blurays I receive from Netflix
* I stream movies off my TB SAN via TVersity
* I video chat with my brother in NY
* I'll soon spam all my Farmville, Mafia Wars, Aquarium playing FB friends with my PS3 Trophies (Haven't put in GoW:C b/c of this)
* I play PS2 games (buying at launch had its advantages)
* I message friends
Can't wait for what the future holds!
Played around with this at my 360 owning friend's house. Facebook is good for looking at your FB pics, Twitter is utterly useless and Last.FM is slick as hell, but you can't stream your Last.FM playlists in-game. So, eh.
EDIT: Yeah lowcarb. The Last.FM app will only play while the app is launched.
It's good to know a game I considered a rental is STILL considered a rental.
I'd rather not connect to a game than play through lag.
Time to nut up or shut up Sony!
...God, I love Zombieland.
It better be budget priced (and by that I mean $19.99). DL or physical copy, I don't care. Give it the GoW:C treatment and I'm sold.
@ i3eyond the Circle
Then that's a bigger damn shame. Paying to play on busted dedicated servers that aren't even controlled by the people you pay.
@ButthurtCrab
Run along and tweet how angry you are from your 360. Hahaha. I was too busy beating MW2 on Veteran to give a sh!t about MP. It works now and I'm not out a dime.
Damn. Even BEFORE it was released it was lagging. Now that's a shame for a pay to play service.
Love it.
