And the PS3 had UC2, Demon's Souls, GoW Collection, Infamous, R&C, and also Killzone 2!
When the GTA4 DLC was announced, it was "the end of Sony". Maybe it's the end of MS/R* deals...
Nothing is required. XBL? No point in owning a 360 w/o XBL...unless you don't like paying for the net twice to play online, tweet (hahahaha), look at FB pics (hahahaha), Netflix, cross game chat, txt messages, etc.
Everything looks like something I'd like/use. Paying for x-game chat? Nah, I'm not going to pay for something I won't use.
I think the disagrees come from your unnecessary defense of a badly titled articles commonly used to garner hits. If you're "having a blast", then what are Earth could you be doing wrong?
Except "I'll have a Diet Coke" or "Does this make me look/sound like a douche?".
So you expected more than they shipped.
Ever noticed how the only games the twats from Destructoid can play are on 360? Free XBL subscriptions and dev kits w/ ParnerNet access will do that to ya. I loved then they posted a "L4D2 is great, you suck" "article" the same day they updated the site with L4D2 homepage ads. And that little kiddies is why I don't click Destructoid links. Not going to help posers get paid...$2 a story.
So you can't wait for more Halo:Reach screens, but HR screens need scrutiny? Makes sense. And Alan Wake, thus far hasn't been shown running on the 360. Your statements may hold true for the PC version, but don't pawn off PC differences to a console. PC with 16xAA > any console.
I too didn't spend the amount of money I spent on my 60GB in May of 07, to play games that look like Fable 2. Graphics are why we buy HD consoles people. It just so happens PS3 gives you graphics and gameplay. Dante's Inferno was a fun demo. So was Bayonetta. But GoW3 will eat those games alive...and those will be great games imho.
I have and it still works. 360? Not so much.
Cell
And Sony sets the bar...again...again.
I tire of the same old "Sales! Sales! Sales!" articles. Look at the games...whatever console has what you want to play, buy it.
Fixed
EDIT: @ StanLee
Stick to comics. Sony isn't new casual games, they simply haven't built their entire business model to suit casual gamers. Thinking casual games is some undiscovered country or untapped demographic is naive and...kinda funny.
@ Kigmal: Gears had a massive ad campaign, what's your point?
:)
Is he not right? I love my PS3, but the Wii has been a mammoth. He's just openly saying, at the onset, they thought the $5/600 PS3 was going to outperform the $250 "gimmick". At the same time, currently, they're not making the kinds of $ expected on the Wii and are on the PS3. It's a double edge sword and the life of a publisher.
*sigh*
Valve patching PC BEFORE the 360?! Say it ain't so! :P
Well hell, Greenburg is in trouble...so's his ego.
