There isn't really a shortage. don't be fooled by that crap. The PS3 outsold 360 due in part but not completely to the fact that Blue Ray won the format war. FYI, this trend will continue for good.

16% percent is better than the 35% the fist year of 360s release. However, I really thought the newer 360 systems are around 2-5% failure rate. 16% for the newer consoles is just a rip off.

I don't see why u arguing. You should be very happy with those numbers if they came out to be close to the real ones. Do u really think 360 is gonna sell better than PS3 on WW basis.. the whole xbox franchises life time is small relative to the Playstaion, and therefore has lower brand recognition, add to that all the hardware issues xbox has and the lack of an integrated HD disc player.
Personally I believe xbox 360 numbers are inflated and Ps3 numbers are dow...
You know I noticed that some people here in America think xbox 360 is the new play station, what I mean is many people believe xbox is made by sony.. If u don't believe me go to craiglist and do some searching u'll get some listings here and there that say sonys xbox 360!!!!!!

Its valentines day so, lots of people are buying gifts and stuff, also lots of people get their tax refunds back this time of the year.. .. about the PS3 tough news, I really don't think this kind of news affect those consumers, However, Fox news free advertisement (or not) for xbox 360 and mass effect DID help 360 gain momentum.
The truth is 360 does very well in the US. Why? its 50 dollars cheaper and has some overhyped games that many people heard about but never played like Halo ...

Black is my no 1 FPS on all last gen consoles. That game was amazing..Alo Its the game that led me to believe gamespot is junk since they gave it a 7/10 score.. IGN score was 8.9. Too bad they are not working on a sequel..
