I don't think it'll be the next BIG thing. But it will be a thing that some people want. Just like the wii and casual games, the people concentrating on this tech will find their niche. I would like to see what they come up with and who knows what kind of genre this will spawn.

Arguments can be made for most of the titles listed in these comments. But for me its god of war 1. No other game wrapped me up in its story and gameplay like this game did. Perfect? Grudgingly no. But still an outstanding game. If ms were to take that route, this would be the first time since atari 2600 that a console would be dead to me before release. I buy too many used games for this to be feasible. Also, I borrow and loan out many games to and from friends. That to me is the real meaning of social gaming. I really hope ms is paying attention to these forums.
Aways online is only bad if it requires it to play. My ps3, 360,wii, is online the second I turn them on. But to make a game unplayable without a connection is suicide. I don't think any console manufacturer would do that. They're too worried about the sales numbers to alienate that many people.

Gore- god of war. Short of using the chainsaw to hackup locusts not much there. When I have a bad day nothing works out the stress for me more than gaming. Win or lose I'm still having a good time. But when you get some buttnugget running his head before or after the match I can see how zome people would find this stressful. That's why I think every online multiplayer game should have a mute button. Nothing pisses off those types more than just completely ignoring them.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around not making a quality console. As someone who's been rrod 4 times vs one ps3 (first edition b/c still rockin) I say give me quality. Ms went the cheap route with 360 and look what happened. 33% failure rate. Some reviews put it closer to 50.
