I agree with everything you said, for 7-8 yrs online was free and for that Sony does deserve kudos for that.
I look at it this way Sony could have adopted the exact same model as Microsoft, and then we'd all be f**ked.
I barely play online, I love PS+ for all the great things I get whilst still being able to use all my other media apps for FREE. Yes it sucks now to have to pay for online play but the alternative would be so much worst.

words can not describe the utter fail that this is next gen with better and powerful hardware.
there should be no reason that this game doesnt have night racing, or a day/night cycle. the gaming media better rip them for this.

i respect your choice, but for me only Quantum Break piqued my interest. i play occasionally online so a full mulitplayer online game is not my cup a tea. after watching the 5-8 mins behind the scenes for QB that be the only exclusive i'd buy first.
plus QB just looked more tempting to me. as for ryse the combat looked too damn clunky for my liking and did over did it on the qte's some.
Quantum Break is the only game shown from them that i'm super interested in, but i will not be spending $500 beans on it. damn maybe when it's hide 4-5 price drops i'll pick one up then with this game.

if xbox one didnt have the crappy restrictions this game would be bought day one. i loved alan wake, and among the 1st party games from them this is their best looking game.
so much more different than the some old bang, bang shoot em ups.
but with plus gamers were already getting free games per month from the off.

look i've been on PS+ since the beginning and its a great service.
honestly it sucks balls that we now have to pay to play online, but i feel that this was the concession to not having the system with all that drm, always checking in garbage.
