PS5 Pro will be an issue for Xbox. If Xbox doesn’t do a mid-gen hardware refresh and Sony does, we will see new PlayStation games and GTA6 running better on the Pro and Xbox will be dropping their exclusives on Series S at the same time as X. It’ll be blood bath on Digital Foundry. Pro versus Series S and even Series X for games like Skate, GTA6, etc, it’s just not going to look good for Xbox.
No way those games wind up on PlayStation, sadly, they’ll be forced to run on Series S too and will be lesser games because of it.
I read this as costing devs more money and time, on the consumer end I want more powerful hardware options, always and forever.
Yeah right, BG3, Dragons Dogma 2, Death Stranding and Elder Scrolls 6 is coming…Elden Ring DLC incoming, Flight Sim is just hitting its stride and is a HUGE game, GTA6 is on the horizon too. Giant RPG’s on underpowered Switch hardware— Hopefully garbage free to play slows down as games flop every day, but it certainly doesn’t seem these devs are slowing down, this gaming biz is too lucrative.
There sure is something funny about love and capitalism—these guys are here for the money not the experience. Easy to talk about loving this world from a penthouse
Lamborghini SUV
Grinding GT7 with this thing and loving it, the long battery life is the best part
Not advocating for AI to do it, but if people fail so hard I could see them going that direction in the future
I’d rather buy a game that takes risks and isn’t a rehash or everything I’ve already played to death. Seems like they played it safe and made sure to add features people will enjoy, but it all feels too samey for me to get down day one.
So AI will be writing Bethesda stories from now on?
This is the same as saying Bethesda grossly mismanaged the production of this game and therefore shouldn’t be trusted with a budget that size.
They should have delayed it again and made the wrong decision there too.
By the time the PC player updates drivers, downloads patches, and dials in resolution and twenty graphics options so it’s playable, it’ll be at the same time as the console players.
When that new Skate finally drops
During Covid the gaming industry soared while other industries pivoted to less workforce, such as manufacturing, leisure/hotel, and restaurants. I think these layoffs were long overdue, especially now that some normalcy has returned and gaming has leveled back off.
Gaming makes money, period. There is no reason to worry that there won’t be games to play or quality will be compromised and you can trust that’s true based on the level of quality that’s been releasing. Go on G...
People forget about Returnal, Ratchet, Demons Souls, the PS5 library exclusives actually runs deep
Spidey 2 60fps RT?! Hope Sony Direct takes my order again, if true this will be near impossible to buy this holiday season.
Preach! Console gaming isn’t going anywhere—same for physical media. They go hand in hand like chicken and the egg and as long as Sony and Nintendo keep making amazing software for consoles, PC gamers can keep their overpriced rigs and hoping for ports eventually coming.
Super smart of them keeping MTX out of review copies of the game! I bet we see more of this going forward.
They mismanaged the Xbox brand since Bungie was sold and haven’t had a true must play exclusive in what seems like forever. I personally love watching a slow dumpster fire so no, let them continue.
This is happening more and more nowadays, frustrated consumers stoke flames of wild rumors on social media and it is forcing companies to come out and give up information. All because their own silence is deafening for the fans. Xbox fans want something, anything, and continue to get nothing.
Series S should not exist, now devs are mad at Sony for pushing the industry forward while M$ holds an entire generation of gaming behind.
They scooped up a ton of studios and force gimped versions of their games on their budget console. That’s the problem—Pro games are optional and Sony first party will lead the way per usual.
