Congrats Bethesda on finishing development on Starfield!
This is why Fallout next gen release was meh, hopefully this is worth it.
I’m ASSuming we’ll see a copycat or two soon.
Yawn, we’ve been hearing this for years, but I still buy games on the cheap— Games stay at $70 for about three months unless it’s Nintendo or a huge release like BG3. Why pay full price when you know it’ll be cheaper and a better game in just a few months. These devs push it out the door now and patch later, often you are paying full price for a product that isn’t finished.
Add in the price for DLC (which would have been part of the game years ago) and the price is even hi...
Plus is too expensive so I let it expire months ago, now I’m waiting for a “good” month to pull me back in. Not holding my breath and not sure why as I’m a single player type gamer. These games aren’t tempting me and for the price I’d rather just buy the games than pay for Plus access. FC was under $20 and if you wait for sales you can buy all those games for less than the monthly rate of Plus.
I even bypassed the dreaded Cloud save feature with a thumb drive to transfer fo...
Exactly! Nobody is buying it so they give it away and get a little boost of mtx, this is what these glorified rental services gets you
Just like how they fast tracked Halo.
How about fast tracking Fable or Perfect Dark?
These guys have the attention span of a puppy, I can’t imagine strategy meetings over there, they probably change their approach on a daily basis. What happened to Elder Scrolls 6?
Fallout was basically guaranteed to be a hit show, yet look at how the next gen patch was handled—it released late and without hype or fanfare because it was underwhelming...
Skyrim exists so you are wrong, although, that took being re-released 6 times on newer hardware and countless patches, but now it’s a good game.
Yeah, they had so much time and that show budget, holy shit, you’re telling me they had no time to put together a game with how long they knew about the show coming?
Blame Starfield.
They released it late too, most already finished watching before the patch.
I thought it was a native beefy version but it’s more of a patch. It feels sluggish af still and maybe this is due to input lag? Who knows but the games runs and looks like a last gen game still, so disappointing!
We are actually giving more power to gaming websites and gaming journalists the more consumers hold devs responsible for marketing.
Gaming marketing is in the toilet and this is why, having to give full refunds is a killer to the bottom line, now watch as more games lack advertising and we, as the consumers, have painted devs in a corner where they feel they can’t hype their products. Enter the clickbait hungry game review sites that will be more important than ever to inf...
Elder Scrolls 6 is years away and it’s already been teased…so how long for Fallout?
Xbox wants the game out asap but how about releasing the games when they are good and ready so we actually want to play them
I get this take, but we should be a mature enough society where a happy medium should be able to exist without people losing their shit. I think some light nudity should be allowed, like a shirtless mode in NG+
Porno shouldn’t be considered the alternative, some of us can appreciate the human form without getting aroused or needing release. Art has long embraced the human form, it’s like people don’t go to museums anymore, you’d be surprised at how accepting we once were.
Will they hold strong and release huge games exclusive on Xbox? That would drive sales. They are probably too money hungry to ignore potential profits on other consoles and if so that will prove that they really don’t care about the health of the industry or competition that pushes the industry forward—they just want that dough.
If snowflake consumers get bent out of shape because they don’t feel good giving their money to companies that do shady shit or lay people off or aren’t perfect—they need to realize these business are groups of imperfect humans who put money over everything. Being mad at that is not understanding our capitalist society, ALL companies are not your friend and that article heading is a joke!
I mean they bought up half the industry, smart of them to get leaner and eliminate red...
This is a huge release being treated like a patch update but really it’s a monster in disguise…Bethesda being Bethesda, no actual release times or pre load available or file size info, sigh. All that said, clearing space on the SSD and putting the PS5 in rest mode while at work so I can play later, fully expecting snail download speeds as millions bang on their servers.
If Far Harbor is butter smooth and this baby has a smooth release overall I’ll take back everything terrible I ever said about Bethesda. This is the best game they put out in the last ten years. Still betting on a Day one patch incoming though and probably more to come. They should allow pre load bc their servers are gonna get boinked.
Here’s the one Pro Tip you need—play as Evil, it’s impossible to keep track of who you are supposed to be for and against with all the Factions—I say F them all and play Evil so it’s no stress! Lol
Far Harbor was barely playable on Pro for me, it was a slide show in the fog. I’ve been waiting for this patch for what seems like forever!
This was my question, article states it’s a native version so will need to re-download when it releases.
Hoping it’s not a Bethesda buggy mess as the game has been out forever, but not holding my breath. Also unsure if saves will transfer, unlikely as again it’s a new version of the game
More proof you should never buy day one, especially on that console, it is sad how they’ve treated their fans this generation.
They hype and tease products but fail to deliver mediocrity at a time in the industry where the playing field is more level than ever and most games score a 7 or 8.
This was a disgusting money grab to not only put out what they knew was an inferior product, but to then offer more expensive versions for the “real fans” is a rip o...
