Free on PS+? Yeah right, No Man's Sky is being treated as a premier PS4 game, there's no way they'd pass on all the money it'll make at launch. Also it isn't a low budget indie game that can actually be given free without losing a lot of money
They already have the Darth Vader PS4 announced so too many LEs in November might stifle October PS4 sales. Besides the thing will sell out regardless of when they announce it, epecially during that time of the year

I'm in no rush to hear about it. Sony already has Uncharted 4, Street Fighter V, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Ratchet & Clank PS4, The Last Guardian, Gravity Rush 2, and Dreams announced showing they have a terrific lineup for all of next year.
I'd rather it be saved for next year than be announced at one of the big two upcoming PlayStation conferences in the next couple of months.
It sold less in the same amount of time because the console market has shrunken and Japanese developers moved away from it in favor of mobile games.
TGS showed that there is a resurgence of console gaming in the making for Japan with how many PS4 games were shown to be coming in the next year. That with the price cut should move a ton of PS4s in Japan

I expect a lot more aggressive deals from Sony this year since last year the PS4 had only been on the market for a short amount of time, they've made a lot of revenue since then and can afford to do these things this year

I think people who were interested in 2015's games have already gotten a system for them, so I'd say choose the console with the 2016 games you want most.
