I think AssCreed 1 was better even though 2 was the first AC game I played. It had better characters and a better story.
I think Half Life 2 was great until the Nova Prospekt level where it just didn't feel like a sci-fi shooter anymore. The remaining levels got really repetitive with all those damn Combine soldiers. Half Life 1 is still in my top 10 games of all time.
And MGS2 was fun at the time, but it got really complicated and hard to follow at the end. I still think MGS1 and 3 were the best MGS games.
I though Halo was a poor man's Half LIfe. Halo was the best Halo, but it got really repetitive during that Library level and I just wanted it to end. I think Gears of War was the better Xbox franchise. It was definitely unique and slower paced than most shooters. Lots of good memories from Gears 1-3. Sadly, I could justify paying for Live just for Gears so I switched to PlayStation.
I haven't played Rise yet, but you are basically describing Uncharted. Same guns, same trophies, same plot of some bad guys that want more power to try and take over the world. Laura at least feels human to me. Drake feels like a cliched, womanizing smart-ass that I just can't relate to.
I know :( I just don't have time to be sucked into a new game. I only buy like 1-3 games a year and I play the crap out of them. Right now I'm still addicted to Rainbow Six Siege and I just got Gran Turismo Sport last week so that's going to eat up my spring and summer. I'm waiting for a sale for HZD Complete. But I'm definitely getting Spiderman at full price (unless the reviews say it sucks).

Sony has never had a bad console. All of them were the top selling console in their generatons (except for the freakisly popular Wii). The only time they f'ed up was with the Vita. I use mine like once every 2 years.
This game has been on sale since November, about half price off. Now it remains steadily under $20. It's shovelware, it's discount bin garbage. It plays like I feel, dead on the inside. I feel sorry for season pass owners. They should have released the second DLC already.
I don't like this comparison game at all. All PlayStations had their moments of glory. I like them all. When PS1 was around, it was the best. When PS3 was around, I was madly in love with it. PS has to many games to do this. I don't want Sony to struggle financially and this disappear forever. M$ can afford to because they barely have any games and because they have money to throw around on services and advertisement, but not games.
I have a pair of V Moda M-100s and the Boom Mic is supposed to be one of the best if not the best mic add on. If my headset ever breaks, I will buy the Boom Mic as it is only $30. If you already have a great pair of headphones with a 3.5 mm jack going into the headphones, you can turn it into a gaming headset with Boom Mic.
I bought the HyperX Cloud 1, 2, and Stinger within the same week to try them out. I only ended up keeping the Cloud 1. Really comfortable and great sound with minimal bass. HyperX have great build quality and sound, but the mic is weak. Still I recommend them because they are pretty cheap. I got mine for $72.
Let's not get on our knees for them just yet. Yes they certainly are better than Evil Arts and Craptivision, but they are still bad. You can tell Siege had a short development cycle because it shipped without a single player campaign, very little game modes, and it was a buggy mess at launch. The content they have is way overpriced in an attempt to make you say f*** it, and hopefully you'll hand over your cash for a useless cosmetic alpha pack.
