@mjchitown WTH are you talking about? This was announced as coming to Xbox GP first, now there is confirmation that PS versions are coming. N4G didn’t report this. It was Push Square, which btw is a PlayStation oriented site. Just like the Xbox oriented site Pure Xbox, only mentioned it coming to Xbox GP and didn’t mention PS5 and PC. Please learn how to read.
@OtterX Yeah Uncharted 2 is a great choice. After that game released. It changed the PS3’s momentum and it only went up from there. Also like you said about building the framework for TLOU. Without UC2 there probably is no TLOU. Still it’s insane that ND released both of those generational games on one console. The only other devs that can do that is Rockstar and Nintendo, imo.
@OtterX He said “PlayStation” Game of the Century. When you look at how TLOU inspired most other PS studios, (which made them dominate the competition for a decade, and still going), the awards it won, and how it translated to tv and became a pop culture hit. It’s hard to argue against it. The game may not be for everyone, but a decade later it’s impact is still felt.
I wonder if the author of this article has the same energy for the Spiderman MCU films. Lol
Well you’re wrong, because if that were the case I’m sure Digital Foundry and NX Gamer would of picked up on it.
Insomniac, Firesprite, Bluepoint were studios that closely worked with Sony for many years. They were like honorary 1st party studios. They never took any major IP’s from anybody like MS did. Also all Bungie games will remain multi platform. Don’t be an idiot.
Phil brought that checkbook again. Lol Phil’s answer to everything is always money. He saw that Xbox was being ripped for not having Square games on Xbox, so he paid to have these games in his platform, even if they don’t sell well.
Lol They’re not on Naughty Dog or Santa Monica’s level. Now that’s not even close.
Because ND like Rockstar make the most detailed games in the industry. That takes extra time. I’ll admit ND wasted time on that MP game, they could have been finishing up their SP game by now. But ND makes game of the generation defining games, something Insomniac doesn’t do. I bet you ND’s next game will get a higher score and be more critically acclaimed than anything Insomniac has ever done. Insomniac is quantity, Naughty Dog is quality. Also TLOU 2 was the most awarded game of all time be...
@ZwVw Last decade? Lol Try the last 30 years. Remember all of the Street Fighter 2 games that came out?
@-Foxtrot Supposedly it’s a multiplayer game.
@Levii_92 What did you think about last gen with the PS4? Because that gen also got off to a slow start. In fact I would argue that the PS5 got off to a better start.
Over Starfield?
I remember Ryan McCaffrey was mad at the thought of Sony buying Take Two. Now he’s cheerleading the Activision acquisition. Lol
@ApocalypseShadow It reminds me of what happened in the NBA. Once Lebron James “took his talents to south beach” the floodgates opened. Every NBA Star wanted to team up with each other to create super teams. The NBA became the “super team” and “Big 3 era”.
@Rimeskeem If it sells well, it will be on PC. Xbox fans don’t give a damn about games like this. Rise Of The Tomb Raider didn’t sell great on Xbox.
blackblades Exactly. In sports (except baseball) there are salary caps and luxury taxes to stop mega super teams from either being formed or staying too long. There needs to be something similar when it comes to mega big tech companies.
@KicksnSnares That’s what is was always about with ya’ll Xbox zealots. Ya’ll wanted this to go through so you can rent Activision/Blizzard games.
Square was too in bed with Nintendo at the time.
Don’t be dumb. MS isn’t taking legacy games that were on other systems before. We know this. That’s one of the things that they meant by “case by case basis”. Only new games will be exclusive. For example, the new rumored Quake reboot will be exclusive. Stop trying to stir things. Lol
