There was no controversy, I definitely stated that I was happy with the changes and that it would bring in new fans of the series but the changes are daunting.
That's an interesting theory on competition paying for bad reviews. It seems feasible but unlikely in the ssense that a site that gives a bad review would run the risk of not receiving product from the developers of the product in the future
That seems legit, Ubisoft has some great titles coming out this year. Would be nice to see them taking the lead.

The Star Wars tables are great! The Marvel tables aren't too bad either.
It did seems to start it's descent, however Black Ops II was well done in my opinion.

Just because I am a fanboy does not mean that the site is a fanboy site.
I am not sure I can get onboard with a Minesweeper game for the 360, though if you haven't seen the "Minesweeper The Movie" on youtube you are missing out.
A MMO of zombie apocalypse would be amazing, I don't even know what I would do with a game like that.
Each of the various writers on HCG have different likes and dislikes, it's not fair to call it a fanboy site when you know nothing of the mission or purpose of the site.
