How is it the RSX or Xenos manage to play current gen games? oh thats right they run them on lower settings, most of the time even in sub HD.

Its the inevitable fate of any controlled platform. The business needs to make money of it.
Even if they did give you BC, it wouldnt be fun playing old games in sub hd. While on the PC side of things even if you bought a game back in 2000 today you could be playing it in HD and you wouldnt need to be at the mercy of any company for them to decide wether to give you BC or not. Niether would you have to wait for HD remakes.

3D should be enjoyed the way its ment to be played in 1080p @ 60fps+ newer designs then myself completely assure this.

Its a dated engine even by my standard (which compared to todays GPUs is very low). Hardware marketed as next gen however, has a problem running any intensive game based on this engine in anything beyond 720p.
