Yeah, when I need new DS3 controllers I buy it in bundles like you mentioned. It really is a great deal, game and rechargeable controller between $50 and $60. Just making the competition look bad
Yeah I love to play Uncharted 2 online and use the Heroes and Villains costume pack to play as Sev or a Helghast from Killzone. It really reminds me of what KZ would look like in 3rd person.
The part that makes me sick is that when they announced that the price was going up, people ran out to buy up cheap subscriptions while they still can. MS most likely saw a huge spike in sales for XBL yesterday and the money is just pouring in. Customers are pissed and they have no reason to care since they are making a killing and customers aren't smart enough to end their subscription and move on forcing MS to rethink the situation.
Jeff, No you can't watch with friends on PS3. It is a disk based app for now and when you load up the disk, you can't even access the xmb to see your friends, accept messages or chat. I know it is because the disk is treated like a movie or a bluray and I am hoping for a much better app when it goes disk less. The Hulu Plus app has major advantages over Netflix for now because it is built into the XMB. You can pull up your friends and messages and what not without even pausing the mov...
I personally can't wait for move simply because a lot of the games I already planned to buy are going to have Move support. Games like Killzone 3, LBP2, GT5, and Socom to name a few.
It really is obvious why Kinect can't do core games and it has been from the beginning.. Limitations, with out buttons this thing can only do simple games.

It wouldn't be a big deal.. If silver allowed for online gameplay and gold offered the "features" That would make this whole situation much less painful.
It's funny how the "Features" that add "Value" to XBL like Facebook, Twitter and Netflix are free on wii PC and PS3.

Why not go out and try to stock up on them? I love how people say "yeah but it's only a couple of bucks a month" Well when you buy them all at once you realize how much it adds up.
At 50 a year, that's $150 for 3 years.. That money could go towards 3 AAA games instead!
I almost thought you said it was the one place xbox failed. I was about to burst your bubble. I actually really love the feel of the xbox controller. It feels nicer than the Dualshock in my opinion but it's not a deal breaker.

$mart people have figured out a way to turn ignorant people into a constant renewable source of money.
It's funny to think that when two people spend $60 on a COD game, the PS3 user has multiplayer functionality built into the game with maps and gametypes ready to play while the 360 user has to pay an XBL subscription cost on top of the game cost in order to access those features that are already on the disk.

I would own an xbox if it wasn't for XBL subscription fee. If it was like PS3 and online gaming is free, charge a sub for the "features" then it would make a lot more sense. You would think that with the way PSN is catching up to XBL they would be forced to do this but as it turns out, they like $$ more than anything.
That's why they can get away with this nonsense.. It really is insane that people are still willing to pay and even defend it.. Makes you question, at what point would the masses collectively say no to this subscription fee? How much money would they have to charge every year for XBL that would make people cancel their subscription?
I personally hate most live action trailers and cutscenes.. All of the live action scenes in Command and Conquer ruin the game with a thick layer of cheese that I can't bear to sit through. The live action Halo commercials make it seem like it is something that I would actually play, then in game footage looks more like plastic toy guns and power rangers..
Bottom line, most live action trailers are deceiving or cheesy.

The code is still Pre Alpha and a lot of the gun and character models they are using ARE FROM KILLZONE 2 and have not been updated yet.
