Damn dude, that was hilarious. Bubbles+
In fact, unless I'm not factoring something in, I think MS is quite right in saying that the 360 version sold more copies AND that the 360 version is the preferred choice. Why?
Well, didn't Sony just say that they surpassed MS in Europe? Doesn't that mean there are now more PS3s in Europe than 360s? Doesn't that mean PS3 now has a larger install base? And with 360 selling more, doesn't that mean the attach rate is higher on 360 AND selling more on 360?
I know this hu...
Well, FX, whether it is a lie or not is debatable. It is SPIN, but not necessarily a lie. Think about this:
Let's say I have 160 customers and my competitor only has 100. We both sell oranges. Now, say I sold 120 oranges, and my competitor sold 90 oranges.
I could say that because I sold more oranges, it means that people like my oranges more than my competitor's. That could be true. Who knows? Maybe if my competitor also had 160 customers instead of 100, he would have ...
Honestly, attach rate matters, but what ULTIMATELY matters is sales. If developers know they can sell double the amount of software on a console at a low attach rate, and half the amount on a console with a high attach rate, they'll go with double. Think about it:
Would you rather sell 100 oranges in an area that has 200 customers or 80 oranges in an area that has 100 customers? In the area that has 200 customers, the attach rate is only .5, but you have a greater chance of selli...
Wow Dom. An extra post, an extra bubble wasted just to say "f4ggot." Only from a PS3 fan.
Man, good thing that's just your opinion. I'd never want you managing my inventory.
Lol, this is ridiculous. How was Microsoft misleading? This is some stupid fanboy BS. Microsoft sold MORE copies of GTA4 than the PS3. Period.
Say Microsoft and Sony sold the exact amounts of copies. Who would have the higher attach rate? Sony of course. They have fewer consoles sold in the US. So it is only natural that MS's attach rate is low, because it has MORE consoles.
It's the same thing as Sony just recently passed MS in sales in Europe and they said so. There was no s...
Well actually, this is true. I've always hated the gloating shlt from any company, especially MS. Did you see their presentation at TGS? Man that was something else. They had charts and shlt all over the place saying how awesome they were. Now they are getting their asses handed to them by Sony, the late comer and more expensive choice. Hopefully they LEARN something from this.
On the other hand though, Sony should be careful not to gloat either, because MS has actually TAKEN a ...
Dude, I don't know where you've been, but BR isn't doing so good. The freakin laser disk did better than blu-ray in terms of timeframe.
Yep, Lord, read 360migs's post. In addition to all that, HDD was finished and ready to go, while BR was rushed (that's why they had to do that update thing, and why 1.0 players wont work with 2.0 stuff).
It's all on wikipedia if you want to read about it.
" Sony has come out today saying that the reason it won the Blu-ray format against Toshiba's HD DVD format was because of the PS3 rather than any other market factor."
Well durhhhh. HDD was always better than BR, except in disk space. Like I said in a similar post, Sony was just smart enough to include the format in their console. This gave BR the backing and the support it needed to beat HDD, as essentially every PS3 sold was a BR player sold. Hollywood saw this and th...
Dude, what is your problem? I was just being informative. HDD was more well built than BR. That's a FACT. HDD lost because it just didn't have the support\marketing that BR had. Why are you being so unnecessarily belligerent? Chill the fuk out.
Actually, yes HDD was better than blu ray in many ways. It's a pretty well know fact; he's not just making this up. The reason blu-ray won was because Sony was wise enough to include it into the PS3, thereby giving BR more exposure. The fact that every PS3 sold was a BR-drive sold basically encouraged Hollywood to back it and it was a snowball effect from there.
Actually, HDD was BETTER than BD, and the only thing BD had over HDD was capacity. So no, you're one getting your ass kicked for buying into this bluray tragedy. I think Sony charges about 45% more for BR than it has to. Read that somewhere on NeoGaf.
HD-DVD was the better format right from the start. Period. It had more features, it was well fleshed out, region-free and ready to go. The only thing BR had over HDD was size. Blue-Ray won mainly because of the PS3, since every PS3 sold equaled a Blue-Ray player sold. And now we are left with a shltty storage media format.HD should have won this shlt. Hopefully now that BR is the standard, all these issues will get ironed out.
Looks awesome. I honestly am more interested in this game than Killzone 2.
Actually, the Killzone 2 VIDEO is already out. Looks fuking badass.
In videogames we, also get called ninjas and mass murderers.
