Hotnickles they lose all the time
CMA said they never said that - try again
Which is more likely given MSFTs track history? The following franchises get siloed onto Xbox only or we see the games appear on more platforms? COD mobile and Hearthstone would be perfect on switch.
COD
Candy Crush Saga
WOW
Hearthstone
Overwatch
StarCraft
Haven't seen a single argument that shows how it hurts gamers especially when there is more money to be made keeping COD and other franchises on as many platforms as possible.
The FTC and CMA should be asking this question
Most of these games I truly couldn't care less about owning. And almost all disks are just cd keys anyway that require a download.
Monopoly arguments are weak.
They will still have a box for sale but you'll have more options where to play
@Lucas
I guess you missed where he changed his comment from "this problem doesn't exist on the other side" or something to that extent.
So you've restarted GOW??
They would have sued regardless. The outcome is the deal likely goes through because it's a poorly constructed lawsuit.
Look at the Sony of the mid 1990s
PS fans continue ignoring MSFT and ATVI have had a long relationship for decades and ATVI actually wants to be bought.
" but it's a publisher"
Don't think for one second that if Sony had the funds they wouldn't by a publisher.
Look at PlayStation fans telling Xbox gamers how they should feel about Xbox. I think most of knew it's 2023 when Cbox exclusives will drop. They never said 2022 was their year.
They're in 3rd place.
So because others don't have the funds to create a streaming service that is non competitive?
So your argument boils down to they have or will have too many studios?
They could have 100 studios doesn't mean that will make them market leader.
Also maybe you can address specifically how the deal will make the market less competitive?
First MSFT never agreed or said they would keep new exclusives off PlayStation
Tokyo Ghost Wire remains on PS5 only, Deathloop just recently came to Xbox. All existing ZeniMax deals remain honored
Sony is the market leader and has remained so for the past 27 years. They've been #1 for long time by a long mile.
Sony was offered a 10-year deal and said no
Nintendo agreed to 10 year deal. Several previous Xbox exclus...
Also paying devs to not release on Sega and Nintendo consoles.
It was totally expected and it will still go through.
