The console will have to be powerful to do this. It will drive up the cost of the console. IMO nintendo can't launch this console for more than $400. That's the magic number.
Seriously let's not be a fanboy here. If you don't like nintendo fine don't buy their system. To say its underpowered without seeing any games running on the present dev kits is crazy. Like I said before I myself would be happy with the graphical presentation of the Zelda HD demo from E3. Confirmed by many along with the bird flying demo to be next gen graphics(can't be achieved on PS360). All of those things were made on older hardware. I'm going to be fine with what nint...

Ok first off the demo was made in about a weeks time on underclocked units which the Wii U doesn't have anymore. Its using even more powerful hardware as of dev kits developers have now. I have friends that work In IT that go to every E3. They said the Zelda demo was far superior than anything they have seen on a console before. Also have a friend that work in the industry that reviews game for a living. He is a PS3 fanboy and for him to say it was the best looking game on console by far ...
The HD zelda demo sold me. Not including playing a game while the wife watched tv. I can't even imagine a full 60-100 hours of gaming with that type of visual fidelity.
It probably deserves the title but this gen is all about HD graphics that alone is why it won't win. Sad!

Sad comment. I love the Wii for what it does. For true fans the Wii U will satisfy HD gaming from nintendo. Jaw drops every time I see the HD zelda demo. Amazing! Can't wait for Wii U next year.

I hope you post the mario 3d and mario kart numbers also. I predict the 3ds will win this holiday season with mario kart launching.
This will be one of the most overhyped games this gen already with grand theft auto IV. Played the last one and wasn't impressed. Didn't deserve the perfect scores it got from major reviewers.
Didn't see anything oustanding from the trailer. I think they should have waited for next-gen to release it. Wii U, PS4, and next-box FTW!!!!

Sorry but it was just reported the 3ds has sold over 6.5million. More than DS did in same time period. The reality is nintendo first party games sell more than everyone else. Mario kart 7 will rule. Mario kart for the Wii has sold more than 12 million copies. Their first party titles alone will keep a console afloat. They need to work on having the power for 3rd parties to bring their games and engines on and get more first part studios so we don't have to wait 3 yea...
All I was saying about the Wii is it should have been HD from day one. With the Wii U it has to have the power and a massive game changing third party exclusive. We know nintendo will do what they do with first party but they need to buy out a third party studio to get an exclusive that everyone else wants.
Can't lie I'm dying to hear some new news on Wii U. I think nintendo is in position to conquer the market with the Wii U but they can't let the opportunity slide this time around like they did with the Wii. Yes the Wii was a success but if done correctly(HD graphics)they would have buried the competition this gen and the numbers would have been way worse for sony and microsoft and better for nintendo.
Seriously stop it! I'm sure your young and immature but cut the fanboy stuff. Innovation and gimmicks are totally different. Was it a gimmick when nintendo introduced shoulder buttons, rumble feature, dual analog? Now its a part of everyday gaming. Grow up and do your history. I'm hoping for the rumored racing game that was talked about before their last 3ds presentation. The rumored game was said to have easily the best graphics seen to date on 3ds including RE:revelations... I want to see that game running on 3ds!
I was never able to get into this game. Just isn't my cup of tea as a fighter. Tekken and street fighter is where my heart is. I tried the one on Wii and just couldn't get into it. What is that point system about?
Brought a 3ds on launch day like I have with all nintendo releases. I have no regrets and I think the 3d is great! It really add to games more than just pushing processing power IMO.
A lot of people forget Nintendo has the best devs in the business. I know a lot of people will argue sony has better.Mark my words... When Wii U first party games launch nintendo will be king again in everyones eyes!
