I hope 343i can convince Marty O'Donnell to return for some more epic scores for the new journeys to come for Master Chief.
It still hasn't really hit me that we are gonna get to play halo 1,2,3 & 4 all on the Xbox One. My Christmas starts in three days!!!

I'm really not trying to hate, I have looked at the vids an all and it ain't no slouch. But it also does not look to be a dedicated next gen effort. More an 1.5 as I mentioned :)

I would say that I would hate to be in a position of only being able to get one of them this Christmas.
Both sides have so many reasons to own them equally.
I feel for those that have to make a choice.
I cant really say which one is better because they both bring me so much joy.
I would say it is down to personal taste.
The novels are very deep and most are bestsellers. Then there is Halo legends, a collection of some really impressive animations from artists around the world. The previous show, forward unto dawn beautifully segwayed into Halo 4 and made the closing scene a lot more poignant.
Halo is for sci-fi fans. If you liked Battlestar Galactica or StarTrek or Stargate etc then Halo is a great addition to the Sci-fi cannon. But ...
If you like Sci-fi, aliens, pew pew lasers and space marines then I think you are in for a treat!

I dont think a single gamer cares one iota about why, only why not.
Racing wheels have always annoyed me. So much cash for such a niche usage, a decent wheel should be able to be used on every platform. I have about 5 wheels in my loft from various generations collecting dust. Very Annoying.
Hopefully Sony and MS can have a universally approved racing wheel that can have all these 'chips' and protocols onboard so that us gamers can just buy one wheel ...

Nintendo seemed happy to steer their ship into a parallel universe. They don't seem to want to join the console race but are more happy doing what they want.
They have their own online network that is a strange beast, not very user friendly. They seem to like to keep people isolated. Even with some advances to their online model, perceptions will take much more work to fix.
Unfortunately for them, most Devs seem happy to back only the Blue and Green Horse...

I hate pre-order bonuses completely.
Gone are the days of having cool things to unlock ingame for commitment and tenacity. Now all these things are removed and sold either as DLC or pre-order bonuses.
I remember playing through a game on harder difficulties and unlocking cool new weapons, unlock cheats and costumes. But now we seem to have to pay for these things via DLC, OR buy 6 copies of the game from each retailer specific offer to get all the cool gubbin...
Haha... ok that was funny, but... it's gonna bring trouble.
