The Pro is too close to the PS4.
The X1X is leaps and bounds ahead of the X1.
The X is a better upgrade than the Pro.

My biggest negative of the X is the current mess of upgrade patches. Each Dev has a different priority and focus and already there are muddy choices in options menus for patched games and messy results leading to a dumpster fire results like Ark.
Locked Frame rate should be in the available choices moving forward for all games, MS need to set some metrics for the upgrade recommendations for developers, this free for all ain't workin out so good IMO, options need to be c...

I game on all platforms, my recommendation is to enjoy gaming, no matter the platform. They all have something to offer.

Fair points. It will be interesting to see what comes of the final promise of software from the Xbox camp.
I'm in for the ride but I won't lie, I will be mighty pissed if they neg on their promise.
However, I am a fan of Gears, Halo and Forza and I cant wait for Crackdown and Sea of Thieves. All the other multiplats will also be played so mileage on the X will be good for a while. Let's see what 2018 and beyond brings.

I agree with a lot of what you say. I'm not trying to recommend a purchase, I'm justifying a purchase.
It fits my lifestyle and playstyle. It has also just come out so yes, there are only a few examples of impressive benefits to base a purchase recommendation off of. For me though, it is immensely pleasurable to own an X.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot that Xbox has the best options for people, a cheaper S, which has more functionality than a base ps4, and the X which is leaps and bounds ahead of the upgraded pro.
Thanks for reminding me, I totally forgot that the cheaper lower performing S has 4k Blu-ray, Atmos and 4k game upscaling for a cheaper price. Silly me, thanks for clearing that up!

I have enjoyed being a Xbox gamer since day one.
There have been ups and downs along the way and some points where i nearly jumped ship but I am glad I have stayed in the camp.
I'm much happier being able to game on all platforms rather than choose just one plastic box. The X is the most satisfying console I have owned, what will be the icing on the cake will be for team Xbox to deliver on the final promise and develop new experiences.
