I love how you speak for all shooter fans what are you 12? I have played shooters forever and I enjoy DS controller layout over the XB controller layout. But I'm not ignorant enough to think that my opinion speaks for everyone.

You never want you fps to exceed your hz otherwise the extra frames are lost. The higher the hz the smoother the image will be.
So 30fps on a 120hz tv is fine you have 4x the refresh rate of bare minimum.

I played Thief 1 and Thief 2. I can tell you right now it was some of the best stealth gaming ever. Thief was far superior to Tenchu and Hitman even though both of those game were amazing stealth games as well. If you are craving a stealth assassin game Thief isn't for you. The game E-Motion on the Amiga from 1990 was one of the earliest games that had some form of achievements, which the game called "secret bonuses". The game had five such bonuses, for achievements such as completing a level without rotating to the right, or completely failing certain levels.
Achievements came from game developers not Microsoft or Sony. They can be traced back to Medal of Honor, Gran Turismo and many many others. I bet you could trace it back to pc games if you really wanted to dig to figure it out. Don't start throwing around the who stole what from whom. Achievements = penis size comparisons. You can have all the points but it wont get you any closer to the female anatomy.
I am also a massive fan of Thief 1-2. Would you like this game to die or let a developer give it new legs? Does anyone really need 5 reasons at this point.
Its freaking PS4 it can bench 50% more than XBOne.
The only thing I find whimsical is the push to make the systems seem the same and balanced when they are to different animals.

I don't care if people disagree I remember reading something about 3 million consoles for launch and 10 million by years end or fiscal quarter not sure on the last part.
DS4 is perfect for me as far as the layout is concerned. XBOX360 had a 8 year lifespan so you have a ton of uninformed children that are now in their Teens thinking the 360 layout is the end all be all.
