Why don't game devs put the age ratings on the games? I don't mean just on the box, i mean on the software itself before or on the title screen or something.
A big "This game is rated 18, and is not suitable for anyone below that age" message would stop bad parents from blaming game devs when their children play voilent games.

Rape?! really? WTF! What game did he play that rewarded rape?
As far as i know, game devs have kept far away from rape in games.
What i love about The Elder Scrolls is the freedom. The only thing you're forced to do is create your character and maybe do a little tutorial, then the game says "off with you; go do stuff".
The lack of cutscenes and a forced story is why The Elder Scrolls are my favourite games.
I used to be a voice actor, you know. I did the voice of Gordon Freeman for about half a second. I went into the voice actors booth, sat down, put on headphones and opened my mouth to talk.
The voice director just screamed "you're crap, get out!!".
And that's how my voice acting career ended.
