This article is ridiculous.
If Sony announced a game at E3 2016 with a release date that was successfully met (Resident Evil 7, Horizon), then Sony kept their promise, according to the writer.
If Sony announced a game at E3 2016 with no release date (God of War, Spiderman, Days Gone), have Sony kept their promise? "Not yet" according to the writer.
So the writer's logic here is that if a game releases on the originally promised date...
Hardware wise, the PS2 was the least graphically impressive console in its generation. Look how that turned out.
The PS4 will be just fine.
Japan stole back their future in the games industry in 2017, they helped PS4 steal 2017, and the Phantom Thieves led the way. Mwhahaha..and they stole all of our hearts in the process. Excellent...
Definition of "zombie" in the Oxford Dictionary:
"(in popular fiction) a person or reanimated corpse that has been turned into a creature capable of movement but not of rational thought, which feeds on human flesh."
You don't need me to join the dots for you. The "Freakers" of Days Gone are BY DEFINITION, zombies.
Fine, "Freakers". Whatever you want to call them. It won't stop the constant comparisons with zombies, and that's for a reason: for all intents and purposes, "Freakers" are very much zombies. They are the result of a biological pandemic. Sounding familiar?

There are many open-world games, and there are many zombie games. Putting them together isn't exactly avant-garde. Robotic dinosaurs in a future based post-apocalypse was more unique.
But, the storyline of Gone Home does look interesting so I'll be looking forward to that more than shooting more zombies like I have in other games.
Horizon: Zero Dawn was one of the most unique and innovative games released this generation. Days Gone on the other hand? It's another open-world zombie game. I don't think it should be written off just yet but it remains to be seen if Bend can take this (frankly overused at this point) theme and setting somewhere and have it stand out on it's own without feeling like just another zombie game. A tall order, but I remain cautiously optimistic.
Persona 5 stole my heart and I hope it steals GoTY too
Forward compatibility. As the name implies, developers are supposed to develop for the base PS4 and then scale up to PS4 Pro, not the other way around.
What a shame, they decided to go back to Killzone instead of putting their time and resources into their much, much better new IP with some Horizon DLC or a Horizon sequel. Hope it works out for them...
Good riddenance to this cancer
Going by the headline of the article, they're talking in past-tense, as if they've already shipped the game to critical acclaim and millions of sales. Let's see how the game reviews and sells and then we can start talking about how it wasn't immediately logical to make an open world game, because it doesn't seem like a very smart thing to say BEFORE the game's release. Yes the game looks fantastic, but hype culture is toxic regardless. No Man's Sky and Fallout 4 ar...
Alright, thanks guys. Looking forward to picking up my copy come launch day!
I've never played a Yakuza game before but I would love to get into the series. Would this be a good starting point? Or should I play Yakuza 1/wait for Kiwami and then go from there chronologically?
That's why Sony dubbed it "Fowards compatibility" ya geniuses. You're supposed to develop for the base PS4 and then scale up, not the other way!
I'm assuming you take me for an Xbox fanboy? What brought you to that conclusion? I've never owned an Xbox console. I've been with PlayStation and Nintendo for a while now.
I have a PS4, PS3, PS2, Vita, and PSP. Never owned an Xbox, nothing against Xbox, it's just that PS exclusives just appeal to my tastes more I guess. I've got the Persona 5 Take Your Heart Collector's Edition on pre-order too. It's just that all the mistakes Sony have made with the Pro is enough to disrupt their lead and pave a way for Microsoft to make a comeback and overtake the PS4. Not that I care. I'm just gonna sit here enjoying all the PS4 exclusives while Microsoft...
Sony's reign was short and sweet. Here comes Microsoft to take the throne.
Gotta get those clicks haha
