I agree with you 100%; just allow SD card support like the 3DS instead of overpriced proprietary cards and invest in first party game development. Sony said they needed proprietary cards to prevent rampant piracy like that of the PSP but the 3DS has been able to keep piracy mostly at bay.
Kinda broke my heart to read this article lol, because I love my Vita dearly as a JRPG fan, but Sony made all the wrong choices in the grand scheme of things, probably the worse IMO is having the heavily overpriced proprietary memory cards leading to such poor sales I think, not to mention absolute piss poor first party support.
Now excuse me while I go play Danganronpa Another Episode.

Ubisoft released a video some time ago with a bunch of developers on camera explaining how sorry they were for how much of a mess Unity was and how it wasn't actually ready for launch.
If they were truly sorry, they would take a step back to look at the drawing board, give this franchise at least a short rest by spending a few years taking their time crafting a great, high quality Assassin's Creed game. It's certainly possible given the talent at Ubisoft.
