Wish you had experienced it on PS2. Those were the days. I would literally play SOCOM II for hours on end.
It was so good that it saved me money on buying new games every month.
I can't vouch for SOCOM 4 just yet. I gotta reserve my judgment until it releases.
Then and only then could I categorize it with the greats of the ps2 era...
Lobbies are great for custom matches. Single map rotations and clan wars.
It makes finding a specific game you and your buddies like to play easier than just matchmaking with a bunch of random players to a random playlist.
Lobbies build reputations among certain players, clans and new/old players.
Lobbies is what made SOCOM different from the pack and made it stood out and shine amongst mediocrity..

To be honest, I've been looking for a way to stream live sports through my PC or Ps3. Because thats all need cable for.
Satellite/cable can be really expensive at times. These cable companies need to get with the program and lower their prices or face mass discontinues of services from us consumers.
That's what Internet service providers did. Internet used to be soo expensive back in the day until competition made them compete for our wallets and lowe...
Yes I know cover isn't in COD at all. But its in Gears of war 3, Uncharted and every other 3rd person shooter out there. In those games it becomes a gimmick to slow down gameplay and keep the noob alive alot longer than usual.
There was cover in all previous SOCOM's there was just no button snap you to it. You had to use to D-pad to get behind it. And if you had a shoulder/foot exposed, guess what you got tagged.
This is what made SOCOM unique, it did...
yea..if you're inferring that zipper is copying elements from COD then you're 100% correct.
Its sickening as how they (Zipper) is bellowing to to the casual fans by adding respawn, regen and cover into the franchise just rake in a few casual dollars...

360 owners should be thanking the Ps3 owners. Because we went out and bought Demon's Souls up in droves.

I was one of the @ssholes you refer to. I had a infatuation with jumping into random players games and killing them. It was a true test of skill. Instead of just outsmarting the AI.

From my perspective playing with both keyboard and mouse vs the controller.
The mouse & keyboard may give better accuracy but the controller is more comfortable. Every Pc game I play I have to be hunched over my keyboard keying in hot keys.
While on the other hand every button on the controller is accessible within millimeters from each of my fingers as I lean back in my recliner sipping a beer.

Some classic games need to stay gone for good reason. It'll keep the devs from destroying my favorite franchises.
