No the "endings" are not sad but bad in the WTF were they thinking kind of way.

If your a fan of ME1 and ME2 the game slaps you in the face.
That pretty much explains ME3, have fun though.
Bad news for you,the ending for ME3 is pretty much a big F*UCK YOU by bioware.

If your a fan of both ME1 and ME2 the ending is going to make you regret enjoying them. the only good thing about ME3 is the multi-player.
Not surprising really, 90% of the time Shepard speaks without player input, and the ending is a big F*CK YOU from bioware to fans of both ME1 and ME2.
NO it's because of the ending.
I think if they manage to balance it properly the game should be fine.

The only thing mass effect 3 has going for now is MP and I can't wait to play it.
the files got ripped from the game, all those 7 ending are two variations of the three endings you have. and the endings pretty much invalidate all the things you did in the first two games.
The most important fact is there will be a lot of angry fans.
