I just downloaded Google Chrome and it is very nice. Fast, secure, everything. The only problem is that FTP files don't work right. You get a "File not found" message with Chrome whereas Firefox can download the file. It's still in beta so no biggie.
Wow! But this comes as no surprise to me because GPU's handle a lot more complex calculations at once than a CPU. Try playing a game like Bioshock or even Counter Strike Source on CPU only. It's impossible.
That is so stupid. Obviously there will be no need for Blu-Ray if you kept the graphics the same and didn't up the texture resolutions. Also, I think it's very stupid of them to not add a graphical improvement. Come on, PS3 owners waited a full year and deserve something more than a crappy new game mode. They say it's to keep everybody happy, but WTF? It's been a year and 360 owners don't give a rat's a** whether it's better or not. They already beat the game.
P.S. Sorry about s...
Why do some of the screenshots have major colour banding??
Oh yeah, do you guys think I will be able to run the game as good as the consoles with these specs:
Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz
nVidia 8600M GT
2 GB RAM (upgrading to 4)
Windows XP
True, but you have that eye candy and security plus more on Linux and OS X. And they've been doing it for years before Vista came out.
I think the people at Crytek should've optimized more because look at the Half Life 2 Source games; they're over 3 years old and they still look great and run on old hardware. My 3-year-old laptop can run CS:S and HL:LC, but it can't even run Halo PC on the lowest settings.
It's really easy to build a computer (I always build my computers, it's a ton cheaper), but if you have friends on a console, then get the console version. That's what I'm doing because all my friends have PS3.
800 MB? That's horrible! My 3-year-old laptop has 1.125 GB of RAM and Vista uses about 600 MB on average (unless it is updating or I am running a VM or gaming).
EDIT: I'm also running 64-bit Home Premium.
You hear that? That's the sound of my laptop laughing at these specs.
OLEDs? Are you crazy? Those things are going to be crazy expensive! If you are buying a TV. Invest more money for a bette product. It will last longer. Get one of the newer Sony/Samsung/Sharp LCD TVs. Don't get a plasma, it will eventually burn out.
lol. I think I may buy a Macbook Pro. It has specs past the recommended. Hopefully I can play it.
That looks like a rip-off of Mac OS X and Coverflow for iPod. The community channel also copied Home and the idea of channels was copied from Nintendo.
Looks like MS does it again!
What time is it showing on Spike today? (Eastern Time)
Oh yeah, I watched this trailer in HD on my PS3 and the gameplay looks like it's pre-alpha or something because it's not that impressive IMO.
So, I guess Call of Duty 4 still won't run on my laptop.
Yay! Double XP! Maybe I'll start a new prestige.
You made me lol.
That's why you don't leave the PS3 on 24/7. DUH!
How is it not a small percentage of PS3s? It was only SOME of the 60GB LAUNCH models. That's only a small chunk of PS3 owners.
It's because they're overloading the cache. They fixed it for PS3 though. I wonder if they can fix the 360 version. They may have to lower texture resolution because the RAM is shared between CPU and GPU and to free up space, they would have to make lower res textures (unless they put a lot of work into it and find a way to optimize the caching process further).
You're stupid MastaGT. Not only is a CD burner cheap (<$30), you can just buy a flash drive ($20 for 8GB right now). Plus, if you can afford an XBOX 360, then you can afford a computer with a CD burner, because wouldn't the computer be more important (work, school, banking, etc.)?
