It was poorly handled by sony. Simple as that.
They should have told their consumers what was happening the same day they took PSN offline. But no, they make us wait for an entire week, knowing that our personal and financial information had been compromised; that to me is a testament of their complete indifference towards us, their consumers.
They still haven't given an official date as to when it will be back online. I mean, c'mon, thats just useles...
Just more sly, greedy sony tactics. They arent' really giving you anything for free. This all a strategy to take your hard earned money, they aren't sorry for what has happened, their intentions are to rob you of even more $ than you have already lost becasue of their poor security

I was led to believe that those two games would be AAA quality and be revolutionary for the gaming industry. The hype simply wasn't justified, they turned out to disgustingly made games and simply a waste of money

PS3 fanboys are the worst for one simple reason: they are insecure about their console and come up with the most illogical arguments possible to defend their console. Simple as that. You don't see hordes of 360 and wii owners on gaming websites defending every little thing that makes their console look bad, like you do ps3 fanboys

C'mon, this is all nintendo does - Remakes of 20 year old games, tired, dull and out dated titles with no advancement in gameplay.

It has a single player mode that you play through two times, then you never touch the game again. The online mode was a good idea in theory, naughty dog just had such poor implementation. The first two have very little replayability - just like the other 95% of sony exclusives - and you just end up trading them in or they sit and collect dust. I dont see too much changing with Uncharted 3, maybe a little improvement in the multipl...

It will bounce back, no doubt about that. But the question is: How much will this negative world wide news coverage affect them in the immediate future. I bet you see ps3 console - and maybe even game sales - drop for period of a few weeks or months. News is used to make people think the worst of every possible situation, FOX news for example. It will have an impact on how people percieve the playstation brand
The real numbers are probably about 15 million ps3 users and 5 million psp. Thats only 20 million legit PSN users - 360 has around 50 million gold users.
No wonder I saw almost 1 million people online for black ops on nthe 360 and only 100k for ps3. Also, uncharted 2 only used to have around 5000 online LOL. Those number from sony are just more lies
