@fallout - 13th is a great place. The games ahead of it are NBA,Madden and the popular F2P titles. For a single player game that is not on gamepass to reach that high is great. It performing very well on Xbox and I know it hurts u because u can't use its stats as console bait.
Also to add to your comment, Baldur Gate 3 is the 13th most played game on Xbox at the moment and it continues to move up the chart day by day. I just wanted to add that info because I already know a certain group of people are going to run in here and say Xbox fans don't buy games.
WTF. This game is just wow. I can't say im surprised though. Im pretty sure everyone mass refund after playing the game.
This comment is silly. Of course, he not going to say nothing negative on his way out. Employees on the upper level rarely do but it odd for him to leave now. Especially when he was acquired by Sony and his new title they are working on would be the highest budget game he ever worked on. It clear there is artistic clashes going on. Sony probably is forcing Housemarque to make a GAAS or some typical Cinematic game.
Good for you. Starfield is still currently the 8th most played game on Xbox at the moment. While you are sitting here gloating, there are a large number of gamers who are still playing it.
There is just straight up chaos and dysfunction at PlayStation studios currently. Why isn’t there more articles about this? If this was Xbox, we see hundreds of articles about how Phil needs to go. The double standards is insane.
Get used to it. Development costs are starting to exceed revenue and studios are trying to get bought out so they can have some security. The new gaming landscape isn't kind to AA games so in order to make it you need to either be aligned with a company that's big business for producing AAA games or you need to downsize to indie and not put many resources into your game at all and hope you go viral or make big profits off of a relatively small budget investment. This is unfortunately ...
Facts. I just saw earlier that the game was the #1 selling game in Canada for the month of October and even as of this moment, it is the 6th most played game on Xbox. Like I said in a previous post, You can't ever say this game was a flop. It might have underperformed critically but it has performed well commercially.
Exactly, this is the first quarter where I think you see that vision play out in the earnings.High revenue/Content growth despite Hardware sales declining is a clear indicator
Fun fact, this is actually the highest Q1 Gaming Revenue in the entire history of Xbox I just want to make sure yall keep that info in mind before you comment.
Doesn't matter. It still outsold RE4 and FF16 lifetime sales in America in a single month while being on Gamepass.
Doesn't matter. It still #1
The numbers for ths month really are good. Strictly based off the month of September This is the highest amount of systems Xbox has sold since 2016 and the highest dollar amount since 2014. On top of that, it literally outsold FF16 and RE4 in a single month. You guys can't ever say this game was a flop.
Im glad he leaving. Bethesda has been terrible under his leadership. Redfall, Starfield, Fallout76 and the list goes on an on. His leadership style is outdated. Hopefully, MS bring someone in that knows what they are doing.
PSVR2 bombing is probably what got him removed from his position. That product flopping cost Sony billions! It's no wonder they forced him to retire.
Phil better have that check ready. Hideki expertise and knowledge would be a great asset to the Xbox team and can possibly bring growth in the Asia region.
I agree. The wording is what throws me off. All Square Enix says is that sales were strong. They did not say they were happy with the sales nor did they say the game is profitable. FF15 Sold 5 million copies at launch and two months later, it sold 6 million. This game is not going to have strong legs. I doubt we are going to get a new sales update on this game anytime soon.
First, 15% of PS revenue came from first party exclusives. We found this out today in the court documents. That not much. Sony and MS are making the most of their money off microtransactions and subscrpitons. Second, that 220 million over the cost of four or five years. That 44 million or 55 million a year. That is something you need to keep in mind.
Does this include console bundled sales, if so, this is not good. I don’t see this game having long legs. I will be surprised if this can make it pass the 10 million mark. Even FF7 remake couldn’t do it. It sad to see a series on decline due to poor management by Square.
I knew this game was going to review well once I saw the reveal trailer. I will be signing up for ubiplus when this game launches. Hopefully, I could finish this and Avatar in a single month.
