Yuji Naka joining Square Enix. Looking forward to seeing what he's been up to.
Just got the game yesterday and I'm having a great time with it. It sucks that they didn't add subtitles, photo mode, and an option to change the controller layout.
I'll have to say paying more for early access. Sports games have done it for a while but now it's becoming a trend with other games like Battlefield V, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and Hitman 2. I hope this doesn't continue to happen...
I'm gonna go with Capcom. They released good/great titles this gen such as:
-Street Fighter V
-Resident Evil 7 - playing in VR is crazy
-Monster Hunter: World
-Mega Man 11
-Okami HD
-Mega Man X Legacy Collection
-SF: 30th Anniversary Collection
-MvC Infinite
And with RE2 Remake and DMC 5 releasing early next year, the future is looking bright for them.
I'll say Visual Concepts for the WWE/NBA 2K series. From awful online servers and not to mention the microtransations for NBA.
Visual Concepts and Yuke's haven't delivered a great wrestling game in a long time.
Damn, there's a lot of great ones. I'll choose James McCaffrey. Looking forward to hearing him in Control that releases next year (I hope).

Derek Daniels. He designed a bunch of games which I enjoy a lot. His latest one was God of War which I absolutely love and still play everyday. He has also worked on the past God of War games (1, 2, & 3)

Nooj from Final Fantasy X-2. Just a god awful design. He looks like a Christmas disaster.

Kratos. Wears a toga and he's a badass character. The different armors he can wear are sick.
VR. Hopefully it continues to get better and with less wires.
For me, it's action-adventure. I grew up liking that genre the most.
Microtransactions. It's a disease in the gaming industry.
The NBA 2K series is a prime example of it. I mean, it's a smart business for the publisher and they knew they would cash in since the NBA is globally popular. The people who spend huge amounts on the VC (Virtual Currency) will always have the upper hand in MyCAREER and MyTEAM.

I would say better A.I. It's been idle for some time. Hopefully the next console generation there will be improved A.I/Gamplay.
