Well, as everyone pointed out already. They're getting rid of the Pro model completely, with the Elite model taking its place at a price of $299.
Techniqually, this isn't a "price cut" considering the Elite model is only re-placing the current Pro model.
I don't see this effecting the PlayStation 3 Slim, or price cut in any way.
As always, Sony proves to consumers quality is on their side.
