I totally agree with you but you're wasting your words here man. I guess N4G is full of young folks who never read anything on philosophy, politics, history, social sciences etc.
Let them implant themselves with a microchip and modify themselves with patented genes and then maybe they will understand that this fight over copyrights was a prelude to something much bigger and much more serious. When a corporation becomes the owner of your body, there&...
LOL I thought that is common knowledge, so I didn't feel the need to elaborate. Of course we all know it's paid via taxes. That's what I was talking about. Making information freely available just like we made TV, health etc. Also, I know of many TV and radio stations which make their money out of advertising, no taxes. Facebook also. There are many ways, as I said. It just isn't right to deny video games, advanced software etc, to poor people. I, as a child, have pirated 3D S...
Well of course there is cost. But there are many ways to make it possible. For example, you pay internet tax when you pay for internet and everything that is on the internet is free for everyone to download. Free information for everyone. And the tax need not be huge. There's no need for the likes of Bill Gates and Bobby Kottick to earn billions.
Also there is advertising like in radio, facebook and TV.
-healthcare in Europe is free. No one is doing it for a living? -radio is free. No one is doing it for a living? -TV is free. No one is doing it for a living? -education in Europe and more than half of the World is free. No one is doing it for a living?
There are countless of other examples.
Gee...what happened to Americans? You used to be a smart, advanced and brave nation, fighting for your rights...
If this copyright craze continues, we will lose the freedom of internet, it's biggest advantage: fast sharing among users and in the future: we'll have copyright protected lifeforms, genetic codes, genetic advancements etc...when all that should be free for all humanity.
Also, imagine when replicators become possible. All you'd have to do in order to replicate a meal or a Mercedes is push a button. But noooo...
It's always great to see there are people who think about it beyond what current legislation says. There are pirate parties in Europe and growing each day. I hope they'll be able to introduce some alternative. Maybe copyright should expire after one year or something like that. Maybe developers and artists can be funded from Internet tax regarding the amount of downloads their content generates. I'm sure there are many more ideas, if only people were willin...
Noooo...you're so wrong. Our legal and economical system needs to be shut down and replaced with something that takes into account new technologies. Capitalism is a dinosaur, just as communism is. Copyright prevents sharing of knowledge and ideas that Internet enabled us to do faster and easier than ever before in human history. Our gvernments struggle to apply antic laws into something that just don't fit it. Sharing is an ADVANTAGE of internet technology and we need to adapt to the ...
Also, this affects people with actual friends, family and girlfriends/boyfriends! I share with my brother, my best friend and my girlfriend. We buy disc games together, we share clothes (not with my girlfriend though :D, food, bed, etc...almost everything. That's just the way it is with normal, social and caring people.
If this is true, it seems to me a bunch of lawyers and managers from Sony want to make us all coldhearted, selfish monsters like they themselves are!
I'm a bit worried that, this time around, it's more shooter than exploration. I've seen enough shooters, thank you. This reviewer seems to really likes the game but it says his expertise are shooters :/
Is there anyone out there who really liked exploration and puzzles in previous Tomb Raider games and has played this one? I'm curious to hear what you think.
Maybe we, as a mankind, should try walking naked and having sex in public. I mean, that's what all the other inhabitants of the Earth do. Maybe we'd be happy that way. I don't think so and I'd hate to see ugly people naked and having sex, but just maybe we should try and go back to our unnatural ways if it doesn't work out.
