OnlySP: I’m pretty happy with the Definitive Edition of DmC so far, it really helps to have that 60fps going for it that the previous games have always had. The combat balance can be felt, the old Dante models are nice, and the little uptick in graphics is appreciated. Whether you dug the reboot or not the property’s future deserves some discussion and the release of a new edition of the reboot is as good a time as any for it.
Devil May Cry is just too big and valuable an IP for Capcom to let it languish in the purgatory of “What the hell should we do with this now?”-land like, say Resident Evil.

Fanatical has updated its Platinum Collection bundle with new games, and there are now 19 Steam Deck-compatible titles up for grabs.

DmC: Devil May Cry launched 10 years ago to critical acclaim, but caused a significant stir amongst fans of the series.
Ah we're at that point in time where failed games end up being needlessly defended and pushed as "underrated" or "gems"
There's a reason this caused Capcom to go back to the traditional DMC franchise.
DMC V became the top selling game in the series by a longshot. Even the team was more eager to make a new DMC game rather than try and continue the DmC reboot/spin-off and listened to fan input for V.

Daniel writes: "DmC on Xbox One may have disappointed many, but it also provided an entry point to a previously impenetrable series for newcomers."
It sold poorly it’s why we have DMC5 instead of DmC 2 and from what I’ve been seeing of that Anarchy Reigns clone from Team Ninja I think it was for the better.
If Capcom knows what's good for them, they'll make DMC 5 and avoid another outsourcing fiasco.
Unfortunately, chances are good that Capcom doesn't know.
I think they should pull an evil dead with it. Give us DmC 2 and DMC5. If comics can have several different versions of a character there no reason videogames cant.
But it have a feeling the Definitive editions are the deicding factor. Which ever one sells more will be the route they take. Or if niether sells very well, they may just ditch the series altogether.
