Capcom's Devil May Cry 5 is the series' newest shiny jewel, but Ninja Theory's black sheep did a couple things better.

With the release of the Devil May Cry series on Netflix, we take a moment to look back on this almost 20-year-old series and let you know the best of the best.
"Devil May Cry 2 isn’t trash. It’s just misunderstood by a fanbase that doesn’t like change."
This and putting DMC 2 number 2 is all I need to ignore this ranking. DMC2 is absolute trash and it's clear this person doesn't understand exactly why.

Fanatical has updated its Platinum Collection bundle with new games, and there are now 19 Steam Deck-compatible titles up for grabs.

DmC: Devil May Cry launched 10 years ago to critical acclaim, but caused a significant stir amongst fans of the series.
Ah we're at that point in time where failed games end up being needlessly defended and pushed as "underrated" or "gems"
There's a reason this caused Capcom to go back to the traditional DMC franchise.
DMC V became the top selling game in the series by a longshot. Even the team was more eager to make a new DMC game rather than try and continue the DmC reboot/spin-off and listened to fan input for V.
I can’t really say anything about this yet because I haven’t started dmc5 yet. I been to busy playing resident evil 2 remake. I love dmc devil may cry.
Besides the cringe dialogue, I thoroughly enjoyed DmC.
Combat, story, bosses. Ninja Theory did better than Devil may cry 5. The pacing in Devil may cry 5 is so bad. The story is all over the place. Nothing gets explained.
It was better at pissing off the fan base, and destroying Dante's and Vergil's characters.
Thank God DmC got higher ratings than DMC3 and 4. Especially 4. Absolute garbage. I only respect DMC1 because it inspired successors like Bayonetta and God of War with superior gameplay and story.
