I view video games as a means to either escape or enhance your surroundings. They seem to foster a sense of camaraderie between those who play them, and act as a shelter for those who seek it. Despite how some view this realm of entertainment, I truly believe video games are a viable art form and should be respected as such. Maybe it’s just the musician in me, but I feel quite strongly about the art aspect of gaming and advocate for said respect all the time. I don’t have one single preferred gaming genre, I really am a jack of all trades, master of none. I suppose if I was forced to only play one type of game for the rest of my life it would probably be first person shooters, specifically the Halo franchise which helped shape me in to the gamer I am today.
