I remember back when I played WoW (2005ish) they were selling that all over. Seems to me you could make the argument gold farmers were the cause of microtransactions.
"Wanna spend real money for fake money so you can get ahead?" Doesnt seem all that dissimilar to Shadow of Wars Microtransactions.

Its the lower people that do most of the hard work at every company/job/business/military.
Thats how employment works, dont feel any more worse for developers than you do for fast food workers, walmart workers, or anyone below E-4 in the military. Atleast developers are doing what they want/chose.(presumably)

I just dont think its fair to say divinity 2 is a much better game. Divinity 2 is a terrific game yes, i just got to arx. But would i recommend divinity to as wide of an audience as i would cuphead?
