This is fantastic.
That's actually why I listed this as a rumor instead of actual news. My fingers are crossed that we'll finally be given a solid release date at the Tokyo Game Show next week. If this October window is to believed, TGS really seems to be their last shot to advertise to get pre-orders.
I agree. With the TVita releasing and there being a FFX/X-2 +Vita bundle coming out, it makes the most sense.
Look at Diablo III when it came out. Look at Sim City when it came out.
The fact of the matter is that very few MMORPGs or online-only games have their release day come and go without a bit of a hiccup.
This article is a review of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, as a game and how it plays. It is not an opinion piece on how smooth (or rough, as the case may be) the release was. Give it some time, and soon your issue will be inconsequential.

Neat neat neat.
Great sales do not necessarily make a great game. That kind of thinking is incredibly short-sighted.
BioShock Infinite rode the hype train for years to get it 4 million sales in just a handful of months. BioShock 1 didn't hit that same number for ~3 YEARS after its release, and in my opinion is the superior game. I did enjoy BI, but the first game is far and away the best in the series, but it didn't get those sales because when it came out it was a fairly under-the-r...
It's like you put into words everything I think but can never articulate. Well done, sir.
The Black Cauldron would be pretty great!
I have been wishing to see Final Fantasy worlds (or cities, at the very least - Midgar, Zanarkand, etc.) since KH1. Alas, like you said, I think the existence of Hallow Bastion, I don't think that's going to happen. Perhaps the best we can hope for is a shake-up via Pixar worlds.
Really though, since Chicken Little was a summon in KH2 and that's a Disney computer-animated movie, it would also be pretty great to see a proper Wreck-It Ralph world. The mini-game and ...
I completely agree. The good parts heavily outweighed the bad in my opinion, making it a solid title.
I wouldn't quite say that until we've got three or four more DI games in as many years.
That's just it. I know the games are only average. They really don't deserve high scores. But they're so much fun! Solo or with others, I just thoroughly enjoy playing the Dead Island games.
Great way to look at it, man.
How about the old photo booths where you could print the pictures you took in-game? Yeah, talk about awesome.
Do you mean a Pokemon Snap movie, or another Pokemon movie in general?
This looks pretty interesting - more a mix of JP and Halo to me though.
It would be a much more tempting title if given the option to play as the dinosaurs, trying to wipe out the hordes of humans. Still, looks neat.
Playing this game was brutal.
Not at all. I am about the furthest you can get from goth, and I rather liked it.
Hey, that was my comment! :D
I like that you aren't splooging all over this game like everyone else. Honest reviews for the win.
