I hope they are, Isolation was easily the best Alien game of all time
I think Isolation is canon (if Colonial Marines gets to be canon this one should to) especially since you can't really trust Weyland Yutani to have told Ripley the truth anyway.
But yeah it would be great if for they could turn the Alien into a Big Daddy style enemy that's hard to kill that eats up resources and make you question whether or not you want to fight it, but if they just make a better version of the first game that's good to.
