We would be able to talk about the subject better if MS would release numbers of the games sold on its Games on Demand. I'd say for PC DD is going to be the future for sure since I can rarely find PC games besides brand new releases and WoW at stores anymore.
It's a tough call though for the future, I assume that games are only going to get bigger in size as time goes on so we would also need bigger Hard Drives too go along with that. I really don't like how i'...

Physical media isn't going anywhere anytime soon and for a few reason, 1) Not everyone has an internet connection, 2) Alot of ISP have caps on your bandwidth, 3) A majority of people still like owning physical media, 4) In a lot of areas you can't get fast enough internet to be able to stream HD content or it would take way too long to download.
I agree that eventually downloadable and steaming media will be used more frequently but I (and many analyst) don't see ...

Really? I figured you couldn't because i had some of my games installed to my HDD and i tried it on my other xbox (disc drive would only work for a few minutes then quit) and it wouldn't work, I had the disc in the tray too it just said something about how it wasn't put on the HDD from the same xbox.
It doesn't really help the letting someone borrow it thing though, yea you could let them borrow your HDD but i doubt many would want to do that.
