I'm sure if they had the time to create a brand new engine they would be able to push a lot more out of it because they know how to program for the ps3 better, I don't doubt they can push their current engine further but imagine if they got to start all over with the know-how they have now.

That right there, nothing wrong with reading a review to get a sense of what the game offers but a score is just a number that usually varies greatly from person to person.
If i bought games that only scored 90+ on metacritic or sold over X amount of copies I would of missed out on some wonderful games like Borderlands it's one of my favorite new IP's of this gen but it didn't even score over 85.

I don't mean they have no talent but compared to other racing circuits NASCAR is the most boring, I don't know maybe I don't like watching cars go in ovals. By no means am I saying I could go out and do it because I guarantee I couldn't, but until I see some of the NASCAR drivers race something other than a NASCAR built car on something other than a NASCAR track I won't hold them to the same standard as the guys who you know race on something other than an oval.

I doubt anyone in the UK really cares NASCAR is more of an American thing...everytime my family start talking about how great NASCAR is and how talented the drivers are i just laugh and ask them if theyre so talented why do they crash so much on an oval course with only left turns then i tell them to watch some races on the Nurburgring and see what real talent looks like.
Totally agree, at this point i've got enough ps3 exclusives and I really don't care if it goes multiplat as long as no dev time is taken away from the Ps3 version (as its the only console i own at the moment) and its a good play.

Please be a new Perfect Dark or Killer Instinct, either one of those game would get me to re-buy an xbox right after the announcement. Aside from that I just want to see something on Kingdoms and Gears3 (gears 3 has me thinking of buying another xbox if its not released for PC).
I have to agree that he is a great director, but as far as keeping true to the game I doubt he'll even try. That said it could still be a great movie but I think most would prefer they just call it something else.

soundslike pretty much nailed it though, most of the hate comes from them not really improving anything since CoD4 and performance wise it seems like every CoD ships with more bugs than the last.

Seriously though i dont like the term hardcore gamer, I just prefer Gamer...mainly because self proclaimed "hardcore" gamers usually say if you play certain games you're a "casual" gamer which is stupid because if theyre really so hardcore you would think theyd play a wider variety of games instead of just the latest CoD or Halo.
How is the PSP a flop? It has sold more than Ps3/xbox360/gamecube/xbox and still sells decent numbers in Japan every month. Support wise you might be able to consider it a flop but it still got games like FF:Crisis Core, GoW, MGS:PW, Kingdom Hearts...etc.
I hope they are ports of the PSP versions, I already own FF origins so their wouldn't really be a point in buying them but the psp version had better sprites.
Why are we still getting articles like this? Hasn't the Ps3 been closing the gap even though it's always had more expensive hardware/launched a year or more later/had a crapton of bad press even to this day.
Don't get me wrong it was genius of Microsoft to launch the x360 before the ps3 and even smarter to use the same disc format as before to keep price of production down and price at retailer, but even with that the ps3 has still been outselling it every year...
