they're Draw Calls, not FPS - real world performance can be way different
@everyone here
you do know 3840x2160 is not 4K? but actually Ultra HD?
4096 × 2160 (19:10 display radio) is 4K !!!!
4K has 1/2 of million pixels more than UHD !!!
if this game needs reasons to prove it's worthy, then .. right there is the reason not be interested in yet another zombie game
the problem is not MetaCritic, but the publishers and dev houses who give bonuses based on metacritic scores
can't stop playing?!?
NeverWinter - a week
Ghost Recon - few hours
WarThunder - still playing, but had some consistent brakes
WoT - around 2 years
WarFrame - around two weeks
Planet Side 2 - less than a month
Patch of Exile - few months
I'm thankful for hi speed internet at decent prices - 200mbps for 10EUROs
and it's running W7
dun dun dun ...
this "news" is old, almost 2 weeks old
"Wow, Did Not Know 30 FPS and 60 FPS Make Such Big Difference in Gameplay" - you wot mate?!
someone, please .. get them out of the caves
weren't 3D TVs supposed to be "game changer"? motion controls? and a lot of other stuff that flopped
when I see someone saying about their future product how awesome is gonna be, I'll take 10 steps sideways just to be sure I have time to dodge the truck heading for him
500k :D
now seriously, he expects to sell more than 1mil units for an unproven product?!
PS to my original comment:
one of most staggering facts that is ignored - both consoles run on ATi GPUs, but somehow UBi partners with nVidia for PC!? how? why?
the only reason is money, nVidia payed them; not performance, not graphical fidelity .. nothing of that - pure simple greed
few years back ATi users used to say the exact same thing about nVidia's GPUs ;)
*35%, sorry, my mistake
was doing some other shit on my laptop at the same time
even so, 45% is not something to ignore
take for example Skyrim - it sold globally aprox 1.8mil units
45% of that is ~800k units; at 60$ (original) price, that's 48mil USD
here's another take on this: I will ignore Ubi's games
vote with your wallets people, and stop pre-ordering
wait for the game to get released and see the the benchmarks before buying the game
I do not know the exact numbers, but AMD and nVidia GPU market share is quite close
UBi is fucking with a lot of people
wait, what .. LOL
this means that the HDD MS put in the XB1 is the lowest of the lows
where did they found it, in the Recycle Bin? (pun intended)
quote: "I cant tell if you are being serious or purposely ridiculous. I in no way implied that a game would be one large compressed file"
I'm quite very serious
want examples? Guild Wars 2 - 18Gb archive (the whole game installed has only 2 files)
Path of Exile - ~5Gb archive
oh my god, are you deaf? you do not "dump" archives into RAM
learn before you type bullshit over internet
conversation ov...
quote: "Games are already optimized for internal HDD speeds, that includes the file sizes. Most games pack the major content into large archives because they load faster."
no, that's absolutely wrong!
games do not load archives into RAM, they extract the exact files needed from the archive and then copy them into RAM
creating large archives is in fact the wrong thing, because it needs to create a separate process just to extract the files needed ...
getting hired by MS?!
