I certainly hope not.
As an option, I'm sure it will become mainstream. However I don't want my game library to be at the mercy/control of someone else.
Game/media preservation is important.
This is why Blurays exist still in the age of Netflix.
I really dislike when people say, this game has PS1 or Gamecube graphics, it sucks etc etc.
Whens the last time you actually played your old systems people? they don't look this good man.
Yes! Please work on GCON2s next so I can play my Time Crisis and countless namco shooters without hauling my CRT out.
Modern Warfare prequel or sequel and it'll have Ghost from MW2 who survived or his story beforehand.
Online only games have expiry dates.
I will never buy one, I want to own my games that I pay for, games as a service have their place, but not in single player games.
If the next Halo or Assassin's Creed has no offline it wouldn't fly, so it shouldn't fly here
It's ask uch about accessibility as it is about media preservation.
Anyone remember Drawn to Death? No because it's online only and had no ...
Try out Ghost Recon Wildlands if you haven't already, amazingly awesome game. So similar to Socom gameplay wise.
As long as it supports offline bots and offline splitscreen i am happy.
Its worth noting these differ from region to region significanlty.
People play games, not hardware.
I really wish Rebellion would add Splitscreen to their co-op titles. I would have got strange brigade straight away.
Judge Dredd, Rogue Trooper even the first Sniper Elite on PS2 all had splitscreen support.
Its not the most polished game, but its certainly not bad either...
IF Banjo - Kazooie is true....this just gives me hope for Goldeneye 007 on an N64 classic
It also increased the peformance considerably.
Ill take that trade.
As a huge COD fan and an avid contributor to offline specific threads, offline modes, custom games etc.
I certainly think the rumours that Treyarch scrapped their original vision of BO4 halfway through, the 'story' content they do have is online only, it links all to those rumours about a weird time travel esqe story, the multiplayer i love to bits, however the custom game settings are literally broken, not exaggerating, there is literal settings that do not work in...
I can give them a full novel on the confirmed bugs in custom games if they want them.
All tested and verified by multiple users.
I'd rather have a campaign, but as long as COD keeps supporting offline players with bot modes, ill keep buying them.
The day they stop supporting offline players is the day i stop buying them.
Step 1. Get a friend
Step 1. Get a second controller
Step 3. Press x or a at the start of the menu.
There ya go, you don't need an article.
Heads up though custom games have lots of broken settings, COD community in Reddit trying to bring these to view.
Don't forget RICO from ground shatter games, a splitscreen co-op cop buddy FPS.
Coming Q1 2019
Except in splitscreen offline, where it does not support bots and is severely laggy for no reason when other modes are fine
Have zero interest again unless they make a true offline mode.
One half of Ubisoft is amazing the other half seems obsessed with online only connected games as a service games.
