That hurts.
I don't see how this will be true this time around.
With the architectures so similar and the multiplatform engines are scalable. They will surely have a slider bar for detail and draw distances.
The devs obviously will want their games to look as good as they can do on each system. They will just slide up that bar a couple of notches on PS4.
If I buy Call Of Duty, I want to play the best version of it. Most stable framerates is very important to me.
GTA4 on PS3 was horrible, 360 definitely ran smoother.
If you have the option, why would you pay $100 more for a system that is quite a substantial amount inferior.
Everyone needs to realise this is not a minor technical difference this time around.
PS4 and XB1 have similar architectures so it is much easier to judge a performance difference than it was between PS3 / 360.
The PS4 has 50% more compute units which can be used for better physics and post processing effects etc. If the devs scale the games at the same quality, you are looking at a 10fps advantage at least to the PS4. If they lock the framerates the devs can...
I want a racing game, not the ability to add a dudebro air filter to my car.
Open world, damn how long does it take for trees and fields to get boring.
Children play The Crew
Teenagers play Forza 'Dude Bro' Horizon
Men play DriveClub
