IMHO if someone pays $65 for a game and there is a clear rule stating that cheating = Life Ban then they make a choice. Pay the money and enjoy the game by playing within the rules or cheat anyway, get banned and effectively lose the $65.
Agreed that $65 per game adds up very quickly but everyone's got a brain right ? Is it really that difficult to read a rule that says 'Cheat and you'll get a life ban' and understand that, if you cheat, you'll get a lif...
Agreed. It seems that basic rights-and-wrongs are apparently seen by many as 'optional' these days. I think that delivering a clear message with a clearly defined result should that message be ignored is a good thing. I hope to see more of it IMHO.
Hi Jerry,
Imho, a delayed release in Europe isn't the end of the world. I'm not sure what the reason for the delay actually was (late going gold, misprint on the case ??) but WB being a little clearer would have been nice.
The main issue that is unfortunately wide open for misinterpretation is how the more expensive digital edition is available in Europe even though the physical edition isn't. Again, clarification from WB would help resolve any c...
I can't pick this game 'up' yet as I'm living in the UK. Digital download is an option but I'm not being ripped-off for 'convenience'. Looking fwd to the game though .... all good things come to those who wait I guess :)
Thanks for the info, appreciated.
Sounds cool. Does anyone know if the input lag is an issue at all?
I've played guitar for around 20 years and played previous versions of Rocksmith simply as a way of learning new songs (much more fun than simply reading from a score or guitar tab!) but there was a small, but noticeable, delay from fretting a note and actually hearing it being played via the console.
At times it meant that by the time you'd heard the previous note you'd miss the...
Good luck everyone.
I'm really enjoying Destiny but, to clarify, I think Bungie classified this game as a Shared-World-Shooter, not an MMO.
Unfortunately, although I'm really enjoying it, I guess that MMO fans will get more out of Destiny than those that aren't due to the repetitive nature of the game.
I do think, however, that the missions (especially the patrols) could be tweaked to at least give the player an understanding of their character's reason to be doi...
Yeah, possibly, but how can you tell if someone found it the exploit themselves or used a guide ?
Btw I do agree with your view on using a guide although I guess it's a form of 'acceptable' cheating especially as some games have officially licensed game guides for sale.
That's very much how I feel about it ie playing the game 'in the spirit it was intended'.
However, there is the argument that if the game allows you to do something can that be interpreted as 'as intended' ??
Above all I would be happy if Bungie patched it somehow.
It's a grey area for me as I don't see farming as cheating but it's definitely an exploit.
Personally I think that there should be a patch so that Engram drops only occur from any mob as follows:
1: Mob is above your current level
2: Mob is equal to your level
3: Mob is a max of 5 levels below your level.
At least this way players can still farm but but not in 'god mode' and it keeps a little bit of a chall...
Looking fwd to playing Destiny but the install is taking aaaaages :( My friend's install literally took seconds though !
Have been looking fwd to this game since announcement but have a little worry that the PVE missions might get a little repetitive after playing the alpha and beta. Hope I'm wrong on that one though.
Edit: Just to say the main draw of this game, for me, was the co-op/fireteams.
Maybe M$ are just sick of playing second fiddle this generation and are pushing now to even beat EA and become the most hated company in the world !! :)
IMHO, it makes sense that more people are 'asking for the [XB1] as a christmas gift' simply due to the higher price and confusion/uncertainty as to wether people actually want/need the XB1.
IMHO, at least since E3, Microsoft's message about the XB1 has been extemely confusing for the general public and it has left so many people feeling uncertain, confused and, at times, paranoid, about what the XB1 actually is.
It's also hard to justify spend...
That's a pretty good response from Dice, thanks.
Hope it all gets sorted ASAP because, as cool as the scope and double xp is, it's the game that we're really wanting to get stuck into and all game-types, especially 64-player matches on the consoles.
Awesome find !
Totally agree, well said.
Just hope Mr Postman isn't late with the deliveries !! :)
(based in UK so XB1 tomorrow and PS4 on the 29th)
I'm actually looking fwd to Ryse tbh. Reminds me of Heavenly Sword on the PS3. I really enjoyed that.
A great-looking game but nothing too deep or too oomplicated. Seems to me it's doing what it set out to do; a bit of hack'n'slash to keep the gaming appetite going between sessions of BF4 and AC4 until Destiny and Titanfall.
SNES, Super Mario Kart. Job done !! :)
